not much of a chance for a ticket I would think, unless you're a season holder
mlse will make a fortune on this event

then again, as a regular fan, not sure it's all that great, for VIPs that get to go to parties and meet the stars is something else.

still, a very good thing for us, anything to raise our profile in the us media is a huge opportunity. If we're going to be an up-and-coming team by then, it would be doubly valuable.

Good thought. I'd expect something very grandiose with TL involved. Usually tickets go mostly to sponsors but with a larger venue, more tickets available.

My thoughts?

-A spectacle, something along the line of on of the NHL winter classics set in the Roger's centre.
-all out for a contending team that year by all means.
-starting off with and driving home a Naismith lesson as the creator of basketball and flashback to the first NBA game, also in Toronto at MLG against the Knicks.

The legends of the game brunch will be interesting. No hall of famers to speak of. No greats at all beyond a couple dudes that ditched us so they could underachieve for the balance of their careers, and get booed whenever they came here. I guess they could turn it into a basketball Canada theme.

Who gets cheered more? Wiggins, or Val (assuming Val is starting at C by that time )

For the sake of argument assume wiggins isn't on the raptors, since it would otherwise cause an earthquake in the surrounding area of the ACC.

depends on how the Raptors are doing. if we're still mediocre...wiggins gets the louder ovation.

Imagine:
-Team's 20th anniversary
-Wiggins is on team
-First ASG in Toronto
-Wiggins vs Bennett in dunk contest
-Our team is actually good because we used the cap room we're currently wasting on rudy on a better player
-we make the playoffs
-we make the finals
-wiggins sinks gamewinner in game 7 of finals in toronto (the world would implode)

I know the last two are extremely unrealistic but fuck it, a man can dream.

This is amazing and well deserved.

Finally TO gets a chance to show the world what it's made of, and hopefully helps increase our marketability in the future!

its really cool but Idont think ill get tickets. Its just not worth it to me when the events are like a joke to the players and they don't play 100% at all times. For me, Id rather use the same price to get some closer seats to an exhibition game

Hopefully us long time season seat guys get a shot at tix. Typical Toronto to fill the place with suits that would rather be at a Leaf practice, than a NBA All Star game.

I'll be at the celebrity game (I know it sucks, but wife would like it) and hopefully the revised less-sucking Sat night festivities. And any Legends lunches or anything to do with past stars.

Great news for the city and us fans! :cookie::cookie:

It would be funny if the raps had no all-stars that season.

Gay will not be here in 2015-2016 so we better hope for JV to step up and represent...

I Could never figure out why it took so long? It feels like Phoenix & San Antonio have had the Allstar game so many times....

Phoenix and San Antonio are not small cities and their temperature is 100x better during February.

That said the NBA clearly doesn't care about weather since NY and Toronto are getting it b2b

As great as this is, I will enjoy watching all the festivities from the comfort of my couch. The all-star weekend is wayyyyy to boring to actually shell out cash (im assuming its going to be expensive even in the Balcony) and considering for an event like this your going to at the least want to be in the lower bowl so you can actually see things and peoples faces....ill pass, and save my money for the deep playoff run were apparently going to have that year with wiggins on the team
