I still say BC will try very hard to go after Deron.

How on Earth is Dragic worth $6.5-9 million when most people on here are hesitant to offer Bayless even $4 million? Dragic averages 9 pts and 4 ast in 23 mpg; Bayless averages 11.5 pts and 4 ast in 22 mpg and has a higher player efficiency rating than Dragic.

Therefore, either Dragic isn't worth that kind of money, or Bayless is worth more than $4 million....which is it?

I would tend to agree with you here. From everything that's been said from BC, i.e. next year being the year to contend I could see him putting most of his energy there and doing everything he can to convince him to sign here.

The Raptors love foreign investments, so i see BC going after Lin Garden, Dragic and Asik for sure, Nash is a good story but i dont see him being a positive for the future. Our focus will definetly be on signing a guard since the Draft has many forwards to pick from.

With Woodson coaching New York I don't see Lin having the best opportunity to shine for where he is in his career and he would make a lot of extra money in Toronto lol I had to watch the Knicks game last night was on OMNI TV in chinese.

In the last 10 games Dragic is averaging 15.4PPG, 8.2AST, 2STL in 34MPG, on 0.509FG%. That would probabbly be his stats in Raps uni easily this season. I don't know if you are really comparing Dragic with Bayless.. Just watch the next Houston game.

And if, as you seem to believe, these stats are sustainable, why would Houston let him go?

You still haven't proven why Dragic is worth more money than Bayless. The bottom line is that Bayless averages more points, gets about the same amount of assists/rebounds, and has a higher player efficiency rating.

First considering whom on our roster will be still under contract next season :

caldy
DD/Forbes
JJ/Kleiza
Bargs/Amir/ED
JV

I can see us resign bayless and Gray.
We will have 3 picks this draft for sure (1 first - 2 second).

caldy/Bayless/second pick
DD/Forbes/second pick
first pick/JJ/Kleiza
Bargs/Amir/ED
JV/Gray/???

i would think BC would trade kleiza, caldy and maybe ED in the off-season.

so if that happen we would have 2 to 4 spots open for FA.

I would consider :
PG : Dragic, Nash.
SF : Batum, Buddinger, Pietrus.
Center : The lopez brother, Mahimmi, Magloire, Nazr Mohammed.

Because he is a better player. If you still need a proof better open your eyes next time when you are watching games.

I also think that Dragic is better, but come on saying things like this is not going to help you to prove a point.

What proof do you need? That Dragic is backing up a TOP5 PG in the league(K.Lowry is 5th in PG's eff) and still puts similiar stats to Bayless, or that Houston is 27/22 and Raps are 16/32 isn't enough for you? Well then wait till the summer and see who will get more money, if Bayless will i'm gonna delete my account here. Mark these words.

What does Houston's record and him backing up a top PG have to do with Dragic's game as an individual player? The record has to do with the team as a whole (James Jones plays for the Heat and is a member of a championship caliber team; does that automatically make him a great player worth $5+ million a year?? lol) and Dragic backing up a top PG is irrelevant and says nothing about Dragic's game (Avery Bradley backs up Rondo so I guess that makes Bradley a great PG, right? lol).

You can't even present a logical and sound argument as to why Dragic is worth more than Bayless. Why is that? For example, if someone wanted me to provide reasons why Steph Curry is a better PG than Jrue Holiday, I could do that using definitive information (instead of subjective thoughts and opinions). You should be able to do the same.

It doesn't. It just makes your argument that Bayless is a better player, because of stats invalid, it's much harder to put up good stats at a better team with much stronger competition at PG position. Don't you think so? And Dragic showed what he could do being a starter(posted his stats with Lowry out above)

Where I said something like that? Please remind me. And if your point is that the game is all about stats you should stop watching basketball, you should stop watching it anyway if you are really comparing these players and even saying Bayless is better.

Parts of it have to be subjective if they are putting up similar numbers. It is subjective because some people will see dragic as a better fit for toronto based on their reasons and some will see bayless based on their reasons.

I have seen Dragic be a good clutch player this year and has played behind some good point guards. He has a good attitude and is mentally ready to start at point. He also plays in the west coast and is on a good team.

Bayless to me is playing well right now numbers wise, but is inconsistent and takes bad shots and to me is not mentally ready for the PG starting position. He doesnt seem to have the composure you need in a PG. I have not seen his last few games but i doubt things can change that quickly.
