First game is against the Pacers @ home. Hopefully the Raps can actually be a good team this year, shouldn't miss games due to class this time around.

The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday their 2012-13 regular season schedule. The club will tip-off its 18th season in the National Basketball Association at Air Canada Centre on Wednesday, October 31 versus the Indiana Pacers. This also marks the 12th time in team history the club has started the regular season at home.

Toronto’s road debut is set for Saturday, November 3 at the brand new Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets. This is the first season for the Nets in Brooklyn, after 35 NBA seasons playing in New Jersey.

The schedule features 12 home games compared to 19 road tilts in the season’s first two months. January and February have the Raptors at home for 18 contests versus nine on the road. March and April combine to showcase 11 home and 13 road outings.

The longest road swing is five games which occurs December 3-10. The longest home stand of the season is six games from January 2-13.

Noteworthy games on the 2012-13 schedule include new Raptor Kyle Lowry returning to Houston to face his former Rockets squad on November 27. The Rockets, featuring Jeremy Lin and Linsanity, come to Air Canada Centre on December 16 for a matinee contest. The lone Toronto visit from Kevin Durant and the Western Conference Champion Oklahoma City Thunder happens January 6. Steve Nash and his Los Angeles Lakers make their only Toronto trek of the season January 20 for an afternoon tip. Anthony Davis, the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, brings his New Orleans Hornets to Toronto on February 10. The defending NBA Champion Miami Heat is in town for Sunday matinee contests on February 3 and March 17.

The 2012-13 schedule has eight Sunday home matinee games, featuring six games against teams that made the playoffs last season: Orlando (November 18), San Antonio (November 25), Oklahoma City (January 6), Los Angeles Lakers (January 20) and Miami Heat (February 3 and March 17). The schedule also has two Saturday home contests (November 10 versus Philadelphia and January 26 versus Cleveland). It’s the first time the club has played host to more than one home game on Saturday since the 2000-01 season.

Toronto will play its ninth season in the Atlantic Division, joining Boston, Brooklyn, New York and Philadelphia. The Raptors were a member of the Central Division from 1995-2004.

The schedule features four games against divisional foes with two home and two away. The remaining 10 conference teams will be played twice at home and on the road with the exception of four teams – two will be played once at home and twice on the road (Atlanta and Milwaukee) and two will be faced twice at home and once on the road (Chicago and Miami). Each Western Conference team will be played once at home and on the road.

The busiest day for the Raptors this season will be Wednesday with 23 games on the schedule. Sunday tops the home schedule with 12 games at Air Canada Centre. Wednesday has a season-high 12 road contests. The majority of the team’s home games will fall on the weekend with 11 games on a Friday and the 12 on a Sunday, accounting for more than half of the 41 home dates.

The Raptors’ busiest month is October/November with 17 games. The busiest home month is January with 10 games, while the busiest road month is October/November with the Raptors facing 10 games away from Toronto.

The Raptors will have 17 back-to-back games this season (down three from last season), with a high of seven being a road game followed by a road game.

Not really, if we make it over the hump, grabbing 8+ of those away games then we have a good run home... i would rather make some speed and momentum towards the playoffs than at the start of the season

Our March and April looks good if we can get to that point with a half decent record.

Is it bad that I looked for dates first.
Then read this thread a bit.
Tried to figure out why the hell anyone would be excited to play the pacers.
Decided to read the article to find out we open the season on halloween

Pretty much this.

The team just has to stay afloat until the schedule lightens up. With a bit of a roster makeover it may take the team a bit to gel, so if they can weather the early storm, they may start to come together, and hopefully start to roll with some momentum for a playoff push (or... hopefully home-court advantage)

or even more hopefully, the atlantic division title, and for the first time in any canadian franchise history, a conference title!

let's go bargs, go superstar mode for 82 games this year so all the doubters will finally shut their traps
