Default 2010 NBA All Star Weekend Thread

So guys, who do you think will win the all star game this year!?!

I'm leaning moreso towards the West, however I'd love to see the East win...

That would be amazing. But the West is just jampacked with talent, I mean you have Nash and Paul, the two best pgs in the game today, Kobe, Melo, Durant to provide elite scoring. They also have TD's stability, and then Dirk, Roy coming off the bench.

East got a 1-up in center, with Dwight, then we have the best current PF (imo) with Bosh. Easy also has arguebly the best player in the game today, Lebron, then Wade packs a punch. Joe Johnson, and Paul Pierce might make some noise. KG is looking older, and AI is just a shell of his former self.

All in all, going to be an interesting game.

I can't wait to see the All Star game, you get to see most of the best players showcased in one game.

SHould be entertaining. I am guessing the West win and Kobe takes home the MVP. Although I would love for East to win with Bosh taking home the MVP

yea it would be nice seeing Bosh win the MVP. Back in the 2007 allstar game in Houston the west tried to make tmac win it.hopefully the east can do the same for cb4.

The 3-point shootout is easily my favourite event of all-star weekend, all-star game included. It's the only event that's 100% pure "basketball" in my mind, you can't really tinker with a 3-point shootout too much and the NBA hasn't.

DALLAS -- All-Stars Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics and Chauncey Billups of the Denver Nuggets headline the field for the NBA Three-Point Shootout, which the league announced Friday.

Pierce and Billups will be joined by defending champion Daequan Cook of Miami, Golden State's Stephen Curry, Phoenix's Channing Frye and New York's Danilo Gallinari in the All-Star Weekend event on Feb. 13 at American Airlines Center.

IMO pretty weak 3 point competition. What is Pierce doing there? Billups will win!

I remember when Kapono won the three point shootout the line up was: Nowitski, Nash, Peja, Billups, and Hamilton. Now thats stacked.

Didn't Dequean Cook win it one year? I'm sure Voshon Lenard one it one year too.
I like the Rooster to win.

HOOORAY!!!
i'm so excited to see Lebron hog all night, look off his teamates, go coast-to-coast on every possession, and jack up 25 shots in order to get the MVP.
awesome!

Come on, bro. I'm going to this. At least make me feel like it's worthwhile and it wasn't a waste of my money to go to Dallas.. ha ha.

Pierce is shooting 46% from deep, not too shabby. But he's a career 37% 3pt shooter so i don't see him getting out of the 1st round.
