So, whatever. You guys are looking at it literally without allowing for factors that would limit a guys ability to perform.

You are free to evaluate people as you wish, but look at it this way, woul dyo keep a guy that underachieved so badly as yo usay Jose did??? Fuck no you woul dnot. So, should we get rid of Calderon????

Trade um up, start Roko, he stays healthy!!!!!

Wow.

Just wow.
did i say start roko? did i say trade calderon? nope.

did you say that he's a top ten point guard? did he meet those expectations? at what level did he preform as a starting point guard? could he defend his man? did he attack the basket? outside of the pick and roll, did he create instantaneous baskets? sorry, but he didn't meet my expectations and i never once called him a top ten point guard.

this injury business is the same thing we dealt with in his rookie season. it's either he's an unforgivably slow healer, or he loses his confidence and rhythm. either or, both are unacceptable.

also, i really doubt niagara college basketball squad has the medical facility and team the toronto freakin Raptors of the nba have...

I havn't brought that up, but I've been thinking the same thing this season. It's deja vu. In his brief career, when Jose isn't playing well, 2 days later you hear about an injury. I'm not saying he isn't hurt and he's faking it, but if he's playing he's not injured. And when the injury word keeps getting thrown about every time you're playing poorly, it starts looking like an excuse.

But Jose has proven he's a good point guard. Good, not great. Maybe he's a great locker room guy, a great leader, a great floor general, maybe one day he'll be a great coach, but he's not a great nba point guard, and I hope BC gets somebody to really generate some competition at that position in training camp.

If this quad thing is bothering Jose again next year, and it just happens to bother him after he's playing poorly, then it's time to start bringing out the comparisons to Vince and his "jumper's knee". Jose just doesn't supply the theatrics and the rolling around in agony.

If Jose averages 28 6 and 6, and wins a playoff series for us and is #1 in all-star votes. And the year after that he says his quad is hurting when he's playing badly... you can definitely compare him to vince .

overall he was ok because i gave him some slack for being injured, but injury or not his defense is non-existent and his inability to view the left side of the court has nothing to do with injuries

Actually the last month (when healthy) his defence was pretty good. He's a better defender then most give him credit for.

If healthy all season, he would have averaged 14PPG/10APG imo. And that i'll take. Shit i'll take his numbers from this season as is.

Ugo, every player in the league except the soft ones (vince???) will play hurt, they are bred, and brought up to do one thing, play. it's the staff's rsponsibility to keep him out if he can't function. I have ripped the Raps med staff repeatedly over the years.

as for im saying he's ok, why put any value into those statements, they are canned and trained media responses. You want honesty, go find sheed.

Claudius, chill out man, "here" means a basketbal board, it could be RF, the old one we used, or real GM. My point is that peopl eon messageboards will absolutely disect thier hero's, MUCH MORE than the actual player deserves. We will also build up stiffs, much more than they deserve.

if you have a poll, and you use the ABCDE grading system, the only way you can do it for it to have efficacy is to have "meeting expectations" as at the least a B. A can go to people that have expanded thier game and really stepped up. A C is a marginal grade, it's not a good grade. If a guy expected a player to remain at a certian level, bring a certain game, then he has to get at least a b, he did what he was there to do.

the marks can only fall from there.

It isn't even important, you made it serious when you got angry. So chill out brother, I'm not insulting my RF peers, not at all, I am challenging the format of the thread.

man up Son!

now this, was a good post!
