1on1 Interviews - Jermaine & Jose
Anyone watch the 1 on 1 interviews with JO and Jose on raptors.com?

JO basically indirectly says the team is soft right now and to nice to opponets. He wants to bring toughness and swagger and get the team over the hump and see the raps front court now, one of the most dominate in the NBA.

Jose is just the usual... Jose. Was happy when Colangelo said he'd match any offer and didnt even consider going to any other team or over seas. He loves the team, the city and the fans... Just pure class...

I'm fucking excited...

I just finished watching them. JO had one of the best interviews of a Raptor I've ever seen. He was realistic, and yet very hopeful, and stressed the work that needed to be done. He wants to be judged only by wins and losses, which is music to my ears, and he looked like he really meant it. He said nothing else mattered whether it was being an All-Star or anything like that. And he placed all of his own importance on this team on the defensive end. I said that when the deal was made that if defense was the focus then it was a nice deal, but it seems like more than just the focus - he is really zeroed in on that. And that makes it a brilliant move.

Meanwhile Jose talked very little of defense, which was a bit disappointing. But his work ethic really came through. C'mon Jose - bring that work ethic to your defense and we're laughing!

I also came out of that press conference with Jermaine more hopeful with respect of Bargnani's development too seeing how the both of them have been in Vegas training. O'Neal with conditioning and such while Bargnani's been focusing how being more physical and using his size to his advantage and not against him like he has been. If Andrea can develop a little bit of a mean streak in him, I think it will also improve his confidence especially when he's playing beside another gritty tough player like O'Neal. :clapping:

I watched them both on Raptors TV and was impressed by O'Neal and have more confidence now about his knee injuries being behind him.And i really like the fact that he said Bargnani is a talent and just needs to get tougher and it seems like he's going to be working with him alot this off season.:dancing:

Yep - who needs a big man coach? A vet that can actually play is preferable to me.
