yeah, apparently the deal for kaka was almost done for 65 million but chelsea might have made a big offer wich probably means that kaka will still be a Real Player because he wants to play here but for more money.

There was a deal last summer in wich Madrid was going to pay 100 million for Cristiano but the new president doesnt want to pay that much. Im afraid he is comming too, I just hope its not for more that much.

Apparently Robinho wants out of Man City already and go to Santos. What a douche. Another Brazilian player who wont reach his potential.

INTERNACIONAL BRASIL : Robinho descarta un regreso inminente a Brasil - AS.com

Its in spanish so it wont be of any use.

Still, though, I dont think he will ever reach his potential. Not with that personality. I wanted him to stay in Real but he never showed any consistency that could show he could be one of the best in the world. Not even near really.

Heh, seems like Guardiola is using Phil Jackson motivational tactics.

Quote:
This video has been shown to the football player of the FC Barcelona just a few minutes before the final against Manchester United. Pep Guardiola asked the local TV station TV3 from Catalunya to prepare a motivation video for the player to show them just before the match starts. They had the idea to create a mix of great moments of EACH Player mixed with great parts of Gladiator the movie... The first few minutes is part of the explanation, the part the players saw starts at 1:12!

what video did Phil Jackson use?

BTW. It was cool watching that Barca mix. I thought using the movie scenes was kind of cheesy, but the Football mix was awesome. I'm starting to really like FC Barcelona. I'm looking forward to next year now that i have the channel that shows la liga matches.

Jackson likes to mix movies and stuff with games to motivate/entertain/teach the players.

The video is kind of cheesy, allthough mixing the footage of them just before jumping to the field with the Gladiators just before jumping to the coliseum is cool.

And you should cheer for Real! I have the feeling this is the year we recuperate our glory after 5 or 6 years of crappy football.

so... not only did they not win it, now they've put themselves in a pretty impossible scenario to win it after the 2-0 loss to Vancouver whitecaps.

holy shit does this team ever suck.

holy shit.

yes they do, but consider that Vancouver

has a vast youth program that they've built for decades
no salary cap
no roster restrictions

once they join MLS in 2011 things might be diffrent

Yeah, but Vancouver plays in like a Level 3 type of division. No top name player goes to play for the Whitecaps.

I watched the game last night and I realized how poor the quality was. I hear so much about how Pablo Vitti is the big thing. He demonstrates next to nothing really on the pitch. The midfield creates no chances, is uncreative and is lazy at times.

Then you think to yourself, some of these guys comprise the Canadian national squad and you can really get depressed at that thought.

Yes, TFC, really do suck.

i was so optimistic last year when i thought that they stood a chance to qualify for 2010 world cup. What an idiot i was.

And yeah - the quality is downright atrocious at times with the MLS and north american soccer. I mean sometimes i feel like im just watching an amateur mens league.

fuck am i ever down on this team right now.

I can't believe I stayed up to watch that last night. TFC had so many chances. And not to take anything away from the Whitecaps, but they're not very good, it's that TFC was that bad. but Van City deserved to win. They made the most of their chances.

Canada's national program is an atrocity. Hell, it was a big deal that they beat Cyprus, CYPRUS 1-0. That's fodder for the upper tier teams, hell, even for the teams ranked 30-50 that's fodder. We see it as a great accomplishment.

It'll be interesting when Real Madrid visit TFC this summer. I can see Real running their third tier team out there. I wonder what the scoreline will be. 5-0?

OKay. I have a question for you soccer freaks.

What is Montreal Impact. Are they part of the MLS or are they just a randmoly created team that plays across the world???

I heard that chelsea are offering 73.5 million pounds for Kaka. I really want to see Kaka in a madrid uniform and i want perez to overhaul the madrid roster with the exception of a few players.

Yeah, and Chelsea now is saying that there was no offer. Who knows really but Im 90% sure he has been signed since his father and agent were in Madrid two days ago with Perez.

Yeah, i think and hope Kaka goes to madrid. Also, there are numerous reports that Alexandre Pato is wanted by Chelsea. Just imagine, AC milan lose Kaka, Pato, Beckham goes back, they wont see gourcoff anymore, maldini is gone. There president has a lot to think about this transfer season.
