Ferguson is an idiot for trying to fight a massive forest fire with a little flame that is Christiano Ronaldo lol. The only way to beat barcelona is to do what chelsea did. I'm also surprised that Sylvinho played such a good game.. I had no idea who he was when this started.

As for Xavi/Iniesta... I've watched them all year... and I don't think they're the best midfield player in the world. If you put Messi on Chelsea next year... they will win so what does that say? They managed 1 shot on chelsea all game in the second leg.. I don't know how much of a potent offence that is. I will say this though, I underrated Iniesta... he's a tricky player. But he dives alot... and IMO... Lampard/Essien for life . Long live chelsea

Man U had to use Chelsea's tactics to win, but they were arrogant

I don't know why Giggs and Anderson were starters and why did they put Rooney on the outside instead of the middle?

With Ancelotti, Kaka and a new striker Chelsea will do better next year
but it will be very tough to knock out Barca

long live Chelsea

Chelsea tactics.....hilarious.

All the commentators in the world are amazed at how easily Barcelona plays the game and how they can score almost at will. All of them. All of them agree that Xavi/Iniesta make that team run and Messi compliments THEM.

I really doubt Kaka goes to an Premiership team. His game wouldn't translate that well there, much like Messi's likely wouldn't translate there. Smaller, agile players aren't built for the Premiership. Stronger, longer players are meant to play there. It's a big reason, why a guy like Luka Modric who's a superb player won't really flourish with Tottenham. He's more suited for either the Spanish or Italian leagues.

So yeah, Kaka going to Real, to me, seems like a lock.

Specially because Florentino Perez who will be the new president of Real is very good friends with Galliani from Milan so since he is officially gone from Milan basically, the only place that has sense is Real. They are looking for their new Zidane, and that will be him probably.

Real could also use some much needed firepower with their forwards. Ruud and Raul as great as they were just don't have it any longer. I know teams covet Adebayor, but he'd look fantastic in Real especially if Kaka ends up there. There's always Villa as well.

If they can bring Xabi Alonso, Kaka, Ribery, Villa. I will be more than happy.

With Tevez was on his way to Liverpool, I'm sure Benzema will be on his way to Old Trafford.

Is Tevez really that intent on leaving? Any clue what happens to Berbatov? There's a massive fall from grace.

Rafa has never said anything about Tevez directly. One big source for this rumour is what Carlos' agent said. I hope it comes true. I think Tevez would be awesome paired up with Torres, but we'll see what happens.

i thought Berbatov had a decent season. His goalscoring was a bit disappointing, but it's obvious he's the type of player who sets other guys up ( as evidenced by his assist numbers) so benzema would, naturally, be a great fit alongside him and rooney. I'm looking forward to seeing what Berba can do with a proper preseason under his belt.

I like Tevez, but he isn't a 30 million pound player. 15 is the most i'd go. His first touch for a striker is atrocious, and if he perfected it he wouldn't have to run around like a headless chicken nearly as much. At a team like united where the ball is played into feet ( Berba's strength) rather than through the air for the man to run onto (tevez's) his poor first touch stands out. Benzema can also add other dimensions to our attack ( the ability to head, sorely lacking from all three strikers this season, the ability to hold up play).

And i don't like how he went public with all this stuff at such a crucial time in the season. It's a distraction the team could have dealt without.

this comes on the heels of the kenyan arsenal fan that hung himself in his arsenal jersey after the semi-final loss. that's some seriously fucked up shit when guys in africa are committing murder and suicide over european football... or better yet, over sports in general.

Also Bmats, clarify how the best team in the world system works. If Barca is like 15th in la liga by the midway mark in the season, are they still the best team?

Nope... because they would have been consistently beaten. Man U won the EPL (best league ... dont even argue this one) and the champs league last year. They were then #1 in the EPL again and were undefeated in the champs league when ppl started saying Barce can claim the #1 crown without beating them... which is ridiculous.

Now... Barcelona has won everything... I hate them with all my heart.. but they are the best.

I'll tell you what though.. If Barce is winning La Liga and are undefeated next year in the champs league... I will claim some other team is the best .
