So big weekend in the EPL when it comes to who will stay on for another year.

West Brom is gone, but Newcastle, Hull, Middlesborough and Sunderland are all at risk. Middlesbrough is pretty much out too.

Hull plays ManU
Sunderland plays Chelsea
New Castle plays Villa.

Personally i think Newcastle will manage to avoid relegation. I hope they do at least. We'll see, but it will be interesting nonetheless. anyone know which game will be on the score Sunday?

Honestly, I'd take great pleasure in seeing Newcastle be relegated. I've forever disliked the team and they've been poorly managed and run for the past few years. Maybe, finally, this would serve as a wake up call to them.

Also interesting to watch are the battles for who'll play in Europe next year as Villa, Fulham and West Ham are all fighting for spots.

see, i've always liked Newcastle. they're the other team i cheer for after LFC (albeit a real distant second).

You're right. they've been so bloody awful for such a long time, that they kind of deserve to be sent down.

Still though.. the financial hit that they would take would really screw them and i could see them struggling to return to the premiership for a number of years. Remember Leeds Utd?

I also like Shearer. It would be nice to see him succeed.

BTW. nobody said who they expect to survive.

Leeds was great but they over extended themselves for so damn long that it finally caught up to them. They're much better for it now though and they could be back up in 2 years time I'd argue.

If Newcastle isn't sent down next year, they'd likely be down next. They need a good 3 years of proper scouting and player development and then sign the big name guys to compliment them. I see Man City heading down the same path shortly.

As for who survives, Hull and Sunderland survive.

so apparently, Mourinho is set to join Real? Good move. Douchebag, but a good manager.

...I guess that news surfaced as Arsenal was citing that Wenger was staying on and not going to Real.

Personally, I'd like to see Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Mourinho is on record as saying he wants to win a championship in every country with a respectable league.

I hope Boro stay up. Best owner in the league imo, and the prem could use more owners like him.

Newcastle deserve to go down. They've been awful, and Mike Ashley is a twat. They keep going the messiah route (keegan, shearer) and it's about to bite them in the ass. When you're for survival you don't go with an unproven manager. They're also completely unprepared financially, and i'd liken them to Southampton who'll be in league one next season.

Sunderland will stay up since i can't see newcastle getting anything at Villa park. Hull are the worst team (quality-wise) of the bunch but they should at least grab a draw against an under strength United.

Yeah, I doubt he comes. He is a great coach but Mourinho in Real is just a bad idea. The pressure coaches get here is ridiculous. We probably have the most douchebad media in the world of sports in Madrid. So douchebag media + douchebad coach + fans that demand not only winning but also a level of soccer similar to when Zidane was here= Mega-implosion.

I want Wenger or Pellegrini. Wenger is not comming, I hope Pelerini does.

Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho said Friday that friends at Chelsea have told him AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti will be put in charge at the London club.

Ancelotti has long been seen as a top candidate to replace caretaker manager Guus Hiddink, and AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said this week that the club could make an announcement on the coach's future as early as Monday.

“My friends at Chelsea tell me it will be Carlo,” Mourinho told Sky Italia. “Some players are asking me the typical question; ‘Gaffer, will he be good for us, do you think it will be positive?'

I was at said TFC match and i must say it was the best i ever saw them play. very entertaining game all around.

You disappoint me, newcastle united. Time to cut ties with most of their roster and rebuilt with youth. Good luck. see you back in the EPL in a few years (if you're lucky).

I'll remind you to make sure to change the channel from the one you're recording on before you turn the TV off. I've made the mistake of staying put and turning on the TV to see the score of a recorded game way too many times.
