Barcelona was lucky they won. They didnt play a good game. They still deserved it more than Chelsea and their Czech to Drogbad and 10 players on their own area style. Bad refereing for both sides. I havent seen the play again but I think that wasnt a red card. And that was a clear penalty on Pique.

The final Manchester-Barsa smells like a game of year minimum.

It's funny to see your free flowing lovely offence not being able to score a single goal in 3 halves so far against chelsea. Just because they score 101 goals against the tier 2 la liga this year... I think this team is highly overrated. I don't think they'd beat Man U, Chelsea or Liverpool in a home and home.

No English team has been knocked out of the champions league by a non-english team since AC beat liverpool. Barce lost to Chelsea before they won, then liverpool and man united after.

Iniesta cannot handle the strength of essien in the mid like I said months ago. They are physically not strong enough. Messi is having his way b/c he's the best... but Xavi is non-existant.

Chelsea played a hell of a game. There was some atrocious refereeing everywhere.

re-read my post. nothing arrogant.. i didn't think they'd win a home and home with either of those english teams. and I was wrong.. sorta (they won on away goals).

Their potent offence managed 1 goal in 180 mins. But you know what? Barcelona is a better team than chelsea... but not because of xavi/iniesta .. because Messi is unreal (same reason Man United own).

I can definitely see why Chelsea fans are incensed. The Abidal red was an awful decision, but didn't directly result in anything else. Chelsea had 5 penalty shouts i think, and at least 2 of those looked like legit claims that might have been awarded on a different day and under different circumstances. The decision not to award a penalty in any of those instances directly prevented a goalscoring opportunity.

But credit to Barca for continuing to press after going down to 10 men. Chelsea are at fault for sitting back and defending against 10 men, when they really should have been attacking Barca's shaky backline and trying to kill the game off. They were the better team in the first 60-65 minutes though. Also, not enough is being made of essien's awful clearance at the end that led to the goal.

Platini is going to come down hard on Ballack and Drogba. Seeing Cashley Cunt's face after Barca's goal was priceless No alves, abidal in the final for barca.

I'm not going to complain about the ref, even though he's a wanker and a pillick, b/c it's not going to change the result
Chelsea had so many many chances and a bunch of their shots on goal were half ass attempts
I do not want to see Anelka and Drogba on Chelsea next year
I would have liked to see more attacking but I can't fault Hiddink b/c Barca has better talent when it comes to goal scoring
I seriously didn't think Chelsea would even come that close, especially b/c I don't like half the players
and Essien has to learn how to clear the ball

Should be an interesting match up (Man U/Barca)
If Man U implements the same style Chelsea used with more of a counter attack Barca will lose b/c Man U has better defense, midfielders and defense compared to Chelsea
But we don't know what injures might occur

I will share my favorite video of the game

Just for this, I hope Ballack is back next year

and this guy is an idiot and I don't want to see him next year

questionable decisions

wow.

wow.

what a game.

The ref REALLY fucked this one up. don't get me wrong, i'm happy that Barcelona got through in the end, but those two hand balls really should have been called. I can't believe they weren't. On the flipside, the red card given to the Barca defender was a very very weak call. I guess he took it out becuase it was leading to a scoring chance, but i didn't see a "foul" anywhere.

Still though, watching Terry and Lampard cry was good enough for me!

hopefully, Barcelona small united in a few weeks.

Later yesterday i attended the Toronto FC match with Vancouver. Jeez, Toronto has looked shitty in their last few games even though they haven't lost. Especially the midfield. Guevara needs to get on track. The team's passing is sloppy and they're NOT playing well as a unit. I'm starting to get worried about the Chris Cummin's era.

That game was awesome yesterday. As much as I hate him, Anelka's goal was a sick.

Arsenal's future is much brighter than Chelsea at this point with all their youth, but Arsenal really needs to improve their fullback line. They've been atrocious all season long much like Chelsea's midfield.

Personally i thought it was the right call. In fact both hand ball calls against Marvell Wynne this year were proper calls. They were the same as the non-calls in the chelsea Barcelona match - and everybody was saying that the ref should have called those.

I actually think that MLS reffereeing has been pretty OK this year - from what i've seen at least.

Still, i was very happy with that game against DC united. DeRosario was AWESOME.... and his second goal was world class. This team has improved a lot from past seasons... and has a new found depth now that i'm not used to. Even though weonly got one point out of it, their overall play impressed me. and the match was very entertaining.

Not at all. He's had hamstring issues throughout the year and he's been out for a couple of stretches, but fuck has he ever been good this year.

28 goals this season in all competitions: 15 premiership, 7 champions league.
He's also the backbone of the Liveprool offense which leads the EPL in goal differential this year and he plays with the kind of heart and toughness that any team would love to have.

WELL DESERVED STEVIE G!!!!!!!

Barcelona winning 4 - 1 in the final of the kings cup. 20 minutes to go. Some sweet goals by Xavi, Toure and Bojan.

So the Kaka to Real deal is done aparently for 63 millions. 5 year/12 million euros a year and Real will get half of what he gets for commercials and such. Nice.
