Great game so far...the Torres goal was nice, stupid play by Vidic though.

Wouldn't say that. First 3 goals were the result of horrible individual mistakes and the last was a consequence of United committing bodies forward.

Just a bad day at the office for the entire team. Credit to Liverpool for capitalizing on the mistakes and poor performances.

When I say he schooled Ferguson it is not because of the score. Cristiano Ronaldo didnt even smell the ball in the whole game. Benitez always sent a player to help the one that was already marking him, and he managed to do it without leaving big spaces open (without having Alonso). Once the score was 1-2 Liverpool played in a very well balanced defensive but still offensive game. Manchester clearly has more talent, but Benitez was much smarter than Ferguson.

Still four points behind, but all credit goes to Liverpool, played a great game. It would be good to see these two teams going at it in the champions league.

yeah yeah... that's all true. Every LFC fan knows this. No matter how optimistic some of us are, we know that it's gonna be unliikely to catch up.

Atill though... it will be a while before i stop smiling about this game. so fucking sweet.

I know how you feel Fancy its just those types of wins. No matter where you are in the standings its nice to beat your rivals in their barn. Esp. since it was thw worst lost Man U had at home since 1992.

It would be like Juve winning the Derby D'Italia in Milan.

Anyways Juve Kills Bologna 4-1 at home no surprise. However; a great game by 21 year old GIovinco. The "Atomic Ant" just dazzles on the pitch with tons of injuiries facing the BIanconeri it was a nice Bonus. Starlet gets a goal and an assist with Del Piero potting 2 goals

I lived in Berlin for 4 months and visited there 3 times
I stayed in London for a while, visited countless times. I have family members that live in Brixton and Chelsea is ~4 miles away. Fulham is really close as well.
and I just like Celtic

Fair enough ... At least they aren't all in the same domestic league. I follow a couple of teams close to my background but they are both in 2nd division in their respective countries so no one really has a clue about them

This is my first post post-disaster (aka the debacle at Old Trafford).

Give Liverpool all the credit in the world - those lads came to play - they wanted it more and really took it to United. I'm not a huge Steven Gerrard fan, but that dude is a tank. Between him and Rooney, there's no way England should not be making it to major competitions. Even though they're only 4 points out, I wouldn't count them out. They way they've been destroying teams as of late, they could easily ride this wave till the end of the season - in both EPL play and in Champions League. United better learn from this and get their shit together.

Meh... I know you lpool fans are really really hoping things work out for you but i just dont see united dropping that many points from now until the end of the season. They are known for finishing out their seasons really strong.

If they win the game in hand they have a 7 point lead with 9 games to go. That means they need to literally lose 3 of those games or tie a substantial amount of them meanwhile chelsea/lpool will have to win every last game.

United has lost 3 and drawn 5 all season, i highly doubt they are going to lose 3 in the next 9-10 games. But i guess nothing is out of the question.

That said they do have two pretty tough games in the last 3 games of the season (man city and Arsenal). Liverpools schedule looks a lil better but so does Chelseas.

My prediction on top 5:
1) Man Utd
2) Chelsea
3) Liverpool
4) Arsenal
5) Everton

Think Villa is in a bit of slump right now and will drop a few games against utd and lpool)

Default Vancouver awarded MLS team

Canadian Press
March 17, 2009 at 5:52 PM EDT

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Whitecaps are expected to be introduced as the second Canadian MLS franchise Wednesday.

Bob Lenarduzzi, the Whitecaps president, would not confirm Wednesday as the day, but said he expects some sort of announcement prior to the MLS season opening Thursday night in Seattle.

"We're hopeful that, if in fact the league decides they do want to announce in advance of the season starting on Thursday night in Seattle, that we will be one of the two successful applicants," Lenarduzzi said Tuesday.

However, a source indicated that the announcement will be made Wednesday in Vancouver.
