I believe the gunners have the third highest payroll in the EPL, becuase of paying the young players a lot of money. One of the reasons they choose Arsenal over other clubs. Gunners highest earners are capped 80K, with only Gallas, Fabreagas, Adebayor and Arshavin making that much.

One thing about Wenger he has never spent a lot of money in the transfer market. Our best players have been the players that were bought really cheap. The highest he has paid in the transfer market is 17 mill the club paid for Arshavin.

Torres, riera, alonso, benayoun, kuyt, babel, mascherano, lucas, Garcia, Crouch, keane- that's spending that definitely rivals, and probably exceeds arsenal's during the same period.

someone else, try to find a list of payrolls.

I've seen a few over the years, and for the ones i've seen Liveprool have always been 4th... As i said earlier, i've scoured the intranet to find a list, but i haven't had any luck with google.

I'm only going by what i've seen / heard in the past.

OK i just found one:

Club
m Spent in 2004
2003

Chelsea
104.1
111.6

Manchester United
57.3
28.7

Liverpool
32.0
8.5

Tottenham Hotspur
25.3
13.5

Arsenal
20.5
4.0

Birmingham City
11.3
12.8

West Bromwich Albion
10.4
3.5

Charlton Athletic
8.9
1.8

Newcastle United
8.1
10.0

Fulham
6.8
1.1

Southampton
7.4
11.0

Aston Villa
6.2
4.5

Portsmouth
6.0
5.6

Crystal Palace
5.4
0.0

Middlesbrough
4.5
8.7

Blackburn Rovers

14.9

Everton
2.5
7.3

Manchester City
2.1
15.2

Bolton Wanderers

1.8

Norwich City

The top number is how much they spend in 2004 in terms of spending; the bottom number is how they spent in 2003 in terms of spending on the transfer market.

Fucking EPL keeps everything a secret.

Fancy, check your cable when you get home tonight - Rogers subscribers have a free preview of Setanta for the month of March, so you might not have to travel to Yonge-St.Clair Saturday morning.

If we're talking individual transfer fees and wages, all that stuff is available online if you've got the time to calculate it manually. I'll take a look if i've got time on my hands later tonight.

Operating expenses, interest fees etc... i'm not so sure.

I've been scouring Deloitte and Touche's UK website trying to find it (since they audit the EPL) but nothing. This is now my mission.

i don't have a digital box so it doesn't apply to me.
I bumped up my internet connection, so i stream all my games anyways, and it's always good enough for me.

HOWEVER, i wouldn't miss going to scally's on staruday for anything. I've yet to see a loss there. It's going to be fun.

I thought you were coming..

If you can guarantee my safety, I'll show up..but I will have my Rooney jersey on. I actually know someone who might be there too, but he's a hardcore 'pool fan too.

I went to the other Manc game, and there were a few united fans there. It was good fun either way.

you'll hear lots of anti Manc chants, but just don't take it too seriously. the'yre pretty good though. I actually find them genuinely funny.

BTW. I want Jay to come down. you reading' this?

I think Man City might take over the salaries lead next year, they have already began talks with Valancia for David Villa.

I can totally pick you up Saturday morning. I have to drive into the city as it is, so why not? Probably better for my protection too.

Oh, I'm used to the anti-Manc cheers. My friend's husband is a bigtime Liverpool supporter, so I've heard 'em all.

Juve gone but they can still hold their helds high. If anyone was watching the game they cold see a bright light in Juve's future as 21 year old Starlet Giovinco had some time on the pitch in the second half.

INJURIES INJURIES INJURIES.

If it wasn't bad enough Juve was short for the Chelsea 2nd leg it just gets worst and worst.

Trezeguet OUT with a muscle strain
Amauri OUT with a quad injury (could be over a month)

Manninger (back up keeper) OUT calf strain
Nedved OUT Rib Pain
Legrottaglie OUT damage knee

Longer-term absentees Mauro Camoranesi, Momo Sissoko, Dario Knezevic, Cristiano Zanetti and Marco Marchionni are also unavailable.

Mamma Mia
