Not bad on my predictions so far. Arsenal wins and Man U ties. Barcelona deserved to win. Atleticos screwing up came sooner than I expected. They usually prefer to wait till the last moment of the eliminatory.

GUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSS!

Diaby was immense today, as well as Denilson. Should have really won by 2 or 3 goals.

And apart of that, the way they play is just extremely beautiful. They are the whole package. Effort, quality and killer instinct.

All this comes from a Real Madrid fan, no bias.
At this moment, barca is in a slump, so is chelsea, liverpool and arsenal. With that said, i think the best team at the moment is madrid. Lassandra diarra has been HUGE for them and they are playing out of this world. They have everything going and they will easily beat liverpool.

so Toronto FC have traded for Adrian Serioux. they gave up a draft pick and some money.

that's pretty awesome. I guess all the best Canadian players in the MLS all play in Toronto now eh?

And i can't freaking wait for the game today.... i'll be watching the tape delay showing at 4:40, so i will avoid this thread once the game really starts.

Walk on!!

Nice to see a fellow Arsenal supporter here. But you honestly can't be happy with that win.

We can't finish for the life of us and having only a one goal lead is kinda scary. Bendtner needs to learn how to finish properly otherwise maybe a transfer is in order. It was nice to Vela play as I got some high hopes for him.

Julián de Guzmán still isn't on TFC and more than half of the national team.

good pick up by TFC, great to see an MLSE team actually building a contender

A win in Champs league is always a big win. be happy about it Claudius. I watched the entire second half and Arsenal looked pretty good. Eboue really had a gimme though that he couldn't put away. shame on him there!

roma weren't slouches either... they played pretty well.

I originally said the best Canadians in the MLS - and that's exactly what i meant, TO2988. re-read my post.

De Guzman is too good for the MLS. I heard that there may be a possibility of him in the premiership.

Oh I'm happy we won, I'm disappointed in the result moreso b/c we haven't scored in 3 premiership games and now we struggled to score again, if not for a penalty, likely not scored again.

Oh yeah.... most definately... avatar bet is on brotha!

OK. winning team's supporter gets to select an avatar for the losing team's guy which must be kept for one week from the day of the avatar exchange.

must be workplace friendly is i suppose the only rule.

are those rules good?

and

shall we do it per match, or shall we do it based on the team that advances?

Arsenal could have fielded their reserve team and still beat Roma. Roma is garbage. They're chokers when it comes to the round of 16.

I'm happy with our tie at the San Siro yesterday. We'll mash Inter on the return leg at Old Trafford in a couple of weeks.

That was a massive pickup. TFC is going to be much better this year. Anything less than a playoff berth will be disappointing. Only if O'Brian White was healthy this season...

9am already nervous for Juve. An away goal would be fantastic for the Bianconeri. I'll be sliding out of work to watch this one just like I did the dissapointing Inter/Man U game. And in dissappointing I mean boring as a neutral observer.

I wish they had Barce/Lyon on Tv as that seemed to be a very exciting match

Well with DeRossi Suspended for the 2nd Leg at Stadio Olympico I'm envisioning an easy win for Arsenal

Winner of the first match and in later the team that advances.
