Watching it now. I can't believe we haven't been able to capitalize on our chances right now.

Arsenal dug their own grave 2nd half. Their best chances where the two deflections by Man U's Brown and Ferdinand. Van De Saar made two huge saves from his own players.

Hargraves isn't that good of a midfielder, but man was that free kick goal a beauty. Stole one from Beckham's books.

Anyhow, after Ronaldo's penatly kick Arsenal lost their composure and they played frazzled the rest of the way.

So, with Arsenal out of the way it looks like my boys from Chelsea are the only ones that can catch Man U. for the league title. Big week for them coming up.

This has been a tough week for an Arsenal fan.

1. Our defense is horrendous.

2. If you're gonna give a penalty kick to an inadvertant hand ball, then you need be consistent in every game. It was as if Gallas sought to deflect that ball with his hand there. No, it hit him. Usually they pull it out, but for some reason they decide it was intentional. The officiating needs to become more consistent imo. And Ronaldo's little, stop and go bullshit, is just that bullshit. After the first one, he should've given up the opportunity.

3. As nice a shot Hargreaves took, it was made prettier by again our defense. WHY HAVE A WALL IN THE FIRST PLACE IF THEY'RE NOT GONNA DO ANYTHING!!!! If the wall does their job at all instead of just stading there, that shot doesn't go through. Instead only Persie half jumped and the goal was made to look like an exceptional goal. Screw that, jump. For the love of God JUMP!!!!

4. 2 wins in the past 12 games???? I like our youth, but Walcott needs to step up once and for all. Otherwise, he'll just be another "promising" youth.

This has been the first Arsenal game I've watched in ages, but they need to play Theo more if they want more from him. Or was today an exception because they didn't bring him into the game till 10 minutes into the 2nd half? Hardly enough time to get things going. JMO though.

Theo hasn't done anything to warrant more playing time imo. He's a great young talent but he hasn't learned how to finish around the net. It's pretty frustrating. And ever since Eduardo has gone down he's gotten pretty steady playing time.

Toronto FC had a pretty entertaining match against the LA Beckhams.
a few observations:

-Greg Sutton (TFC keeper) played insanely good. Man of the Match.

-Landycakes is a cunt. couldn't help but laugh (and thank my lucky starts) at all those missed chances he had.

-Marco Velez (toronto defender) is complete crap. should not be starting on this team right now. please bring back Andy Boyens.

-Extremely pleased Toronto came away with the win. didn't think it was coming, but it's very good to see some promise in the young MLS season.

claudius, i'd blame that penalty kick more on your goalie than your wall, he was nowhere near in position to make a stop there, and like Budd said in the postgame on TheScore, he just stood there and watched it go in, along with everyone else in the crowd

oh yeah, Liverpool won again

Yeah, I don't know what Lehmann was doing on that play. He was USELESS. And that penalty was justified. The Gunner defender (Gallas) clearly touched the ball with his arm. Arsenal had PLENTY of chances to even the match.

good just as long as a london team dont win the league im happy ...not that im a united fan.

Ronaldo is unreal this year no doubt, but man that penalty kick bs has got to stop. I am all in favour of banning the "pause" or slow pause motion he goes to.. It should be a fluid motion shot period. Both times he attempted the PK it looked the same as if he stopped...bollocks IMO.

Guys, a hand ball is a hand ball..it hit gallas arm and its penalty.. i do agree they need to be more consistent on those calls though.....that said, no one that supports arsenal is complaining about adebayors blatant hand ball "header" goal.

The bottom line here is that they lost. They didnt capitalize on many chances and it cost them. They can only blame themselves for lack of quality play in finishing the job.

I have to say though Arsenal does have a scary team for the future if they can keep all the peices together.. I am pretty sure fabregas is a goner this summer or soon.

Theo is another unproven talent wanting to make a contribution to an obviously strugllin arsenal side. Adebayor has hit the wall for the year and they need to shake it up. Walcott will never have a chance to improve on a team like arsenal because they jsut wont play him when you have a goal scorer like adebayor on ur team.

The best thing walcott can do for his career is leave and go to a team like west ham, portsmouth or man city. One of the middle tier clubs.

Anyhow my leicester boy Heskey ruined Chelsea today and im fuckin excited. Go on heskey!!!!!! Scoring in the last minute of extra time for the draw is what i like to see!

Whats wrong with brazilian players, they seem to get bored with soccer or something. After 4 or 5 years of greatness they start sucking bad.

Whats Euro 08? Is that some kind of game?

You bastard had to remind me of it huh? Im still sour grapes from england not making it lol.

Wow, when you look at the groups you think damn.

Group D is a tough group...Spain is the fav but sweden, russia and greece are solid teams taht can beat u on any given night.

Group C...I fully expect italy and france to qualify but who knows maybe the dutch will pull one out of their arses haha (hopefully at the italians expense). that said, i hate both france and italy lol.

Group B.
Croatia and Germany should easily move thru that group. Poland and austria have no chance.

Group A.

I'd like to see a total portuguese flop but with Ronaldo being hotter then the sun ( and well still softer then a floppy donkey dick when it comes to diving), i think the pork chops will take the grilling and move on to the next round. I actualyl think any of of the remaining 3 can take the second spot.

I'm really looking forward to Euro.

I gots three sqauds that i'm supporting:
1. Poland: They're in tough for sure. I don't agree with Jatt because i do think they have a chance to get through. Not a big chance, but a chance nonetheless. During qualifying they really surprised me with their strong performances against Portugal - so i know there is potential to beat seemingly "stronger" teams. plus the new Polish Manager Leo Benhakker looks have the team playing the best they have in ages.

2. France: No real worries there. Pretty confident that France will make it. Italy looks to go too, but with Holland it could be a dog fight.

3. Czech Republic: also i think that the czechs will move on with relative ease. Even with Portugal, i think they'll finish at the top of the group. Czechs were dissapointed last world cup, but their last Euro showing was pretty spectacular. Pavel Nedved will be missed, though.
