Bradley has a hockey mentality. Dude has blood pouring down his head and calmly walks to the bench to get attended.

not the nicest of games, but the win is great. Hard to believe that the team has never started a season 2-0. Alvaro Rey is frustrating. He has so much skill and has shown in these 2 games that he is the best dribbler on the whole team yet the dude is unable to make the obvious pass and is a total black hole in attack. WTF.

I liked what i saw of Gilberto.

Oh and Liverpool gave me a fright there in the first half against Cardiff. Wasn't expecting such a one sided score in the end. I have a pact with my friend that we will get liverbird tattoos if they ever win the league. I'm starting to get kind of nervous.

Rob Ford under fire from MLSE boss over BMO Field - Toronto - CBC News

Quote:
The mayor has said he supports TFC but doesn't believe taxpayers should have to pay for stadium improvements.

"The thing that riles me the most is when someone accuses us of a gravy train. It's exactly the opposite," said Leiweke, MLSE's president and CEO. "We're taking a public facility that the city currently has a 50 per cent responsibility to pay for and we're looking at bills over the next 10 to 15 years that will be $30 to $40 million out of the city's pocket and we're proposing a solution that has them put in $10 million and we repay them over 20 years.

"This is not a gravy train. This is simple smart math and great leadership on behalf of the city manager to find a solution where the private sector steps up and takes all the risk. I am not embarrassed by this deal. I will not let it get in the middle of a political race. And at the end of the day, this stadium, this city, this team and you fans deserve a facility that's the best in Major League Soccer and that's what we're going to try to do."

The City's executive committee has approved the proposed stadium plan with Ford casting the lone No vote. It now goes to the full council in April.

even though the times are ugly for spurs (relative to the last few seasons), this reminded me of why I love my club.

they bought all the advertising on defoe's debut in BMO, and did this with it:

Fun fact - Defoe is still one of the top scorers of the Europa League this season.

fun fact 2: Man utd. really suck this year.

I mean holy shit they are getting spanked all around the league. Now they are booing Ferguson. can someone say why? I just read a headline, but didn't have time to go into the article.

they still have a chance in the champions league to do something though.... imagine if they win the whole thing! (Liverpool did it while being mediocre domestically one year).

i don't know the last time i've ever been so nervously close as a fan (of any team) to such a massive accomplishment. I keep telling myself it won't happen because i don't want to feel disappointment if they fall short.

The English Kings of Europe are very close to being the Kings of England once more.

I'd be f**king ecstatic if I were you regardless. At the very worst 3rd place guaranteed title but the title is still possible atm. 1 game vs Chelsea left and one vs City. City is fortunate though that they have 2 games in hand atm. Either way dude if I were you I'd just enjoy the ride. Liverpool and Atletico this year have been really awesome and have made things so much better.

Angel and Marcelo both out today.

Iker; Coentrao, Pepe, Ramos, Carvajal; Illarra, Xabi, Luka; CR7, Benz, Bale. I think with Angel out that Illarra plays to maintain defensive solidity.

PSG vs. Chelsea - very exciting match.

why? they only tied while conceding an away goal. It's not a bad outcome, but it isn't exactly amazing.

I mean they're going into the second leg on pretty level footing.

They tied the best and deepest team in Europe 1-1 in a horrid season.

I just think it's impressive.

No Jese, Sami, Angel, Marcelo or Arbeloa and no problem. The other team had a lot more injuries too but it's still nice to get a convincing win.

Was surprised Isco started but it paid off. Great game from him. Was a little sad Jose Rodriguez didn't get to play late in the game but c'est la vie.

Tomorrow hopefully Valencia and Sevilla have good games.

i just want to mention that the toronto FC win over the weekend was quite impressive. A number of key starters were out injured including Defoe and yet toronto took it to a good team and won. Gilberto looks like a good player. And Michael Bradley was just incredible. Love that guy.
