So yeah. Sherwood out. And no I'm not a fickle spurs fan that wants to recycle managers. I never wanted him in. He doesnt have top team tactics. Too stubborn on too basic of a system. You dont play fucking bentalab over Sandro or capoue or holtby or paulinho against the monster that is city.

Barca lost at home, to a Valencia squad who had just lost a bunch of key players via the transfer window (all loans except Canales going to Real Sociedad). Now Atletico and Real both can leapfrog Barca tomorrow

That is probably the best league performance i've ever seen from liverpool! Rafa guided to some similar performances in europe but I can't remember a performance like that in the league, against a top side.

People might want to focus on arsenal being poor, to be fair lfc getting a lot of credit on bbc and guardian sites, but I think we made them poor. Exceptional, team closing down without the ball, devestating passing and movement with the ball. First 30 mins was ridiculous!

That was a complete team performance. And if that suarez strike had gone in! Would've been one of the best goals ever!

Jese - that is all. Del Bosque has even said he may consider bringing him to Brazil

Also - congrats to Liverpool - beastly win.

and what the fuck is going on with united? the amount of class in persie and rooney and mata alone should have them destroy fulham.

Tim Sherwood loses tactical battle but Tottenham still take the points | Football | The Guardian

good article, supporting what you say. the bit about townsend not knowing which wing he was sposed to be on when he was subbed on is shocking!

Word around the street is that Balotelli might be heading to Arsenal in the summer with Puma playing a key part to have Balotelli in an Arsenal jersey with Arsenal transferring from Nike to Puma next year.

Also - I don't see how Mata will work in Man U. Although Mata can play on the wing he plays better as a CAM and he leaves a lot to be desired defensively on the wing. Unless ManU plan on having Rooney with Mata as CF and CAM I don't see how they'll work that out if RVP and Rooney stay.

It's no secret that Arsenal lack a number 9, but I'm just not high on Balotelli at all. He's still way too combustible for my liking. Honestly, I'd much rather have Mandzukic fill the role and I think he'd be the perfect fit with players like Ozil, Cazorla and Wilshire. With him, Mertesacker and Koscielny we'd have some legitimate aerial threats on set pieces that defenders would struggle against.

As for Mata, I understand why Man U bought him (discounted price?), but he doesn't fit this season with that club. You're absolutely right.

The only thing I can think of is that he's one piece of a replacement puzzle with RVP (bad history between he and Moyes), Rooney, Kagawa and maybe even the failed Fellaini experiment all being sold off in the summer. I'd be surprised, and I mean really surprised, if they keep Mata on the wing.

I don't agree with it but it'd surely be interesting. I think Mandzukic would be a great fit and much more pragmatic but Balo would be high risk but high reward. Will be interesting to see what happens. Many teams out there are interested in Mandzukic - like Juventus.

Indeed. Maybe we finally see ManU actually shift to a more modern formation. I personally think RVP is gone next season for sure.

While I don't really like Chelsea, I really missed Mourinho in the EPL. It's like it's his playground.

The one on, he's a specialist at failing? Yeah, it came out of nowhere, but it's Mourinho, what do you expect.

I think the best way to explain it for me, is that he's more of a guilty pleasure. I don't agree with him and if he never said another word it wouldn't bother me in the slightest, but when he is around and being a dick, it's kind of fun to watch.

Maybe I'm just a sadist.

yeah, that's the one. pathetic, disrespectful and just annoying man.

i totally get you with the guilty pleasure thing, that's how most people feel i think, although the tide of public opinion seems to be turning a bit.

i'm just totally bored of it mate. I never liked him first time round, just not my type of guy, i'm quite traditional when it comes to footy! all old-fashioned and respectful! He did have good entertainment value tho.

but this time around i've just found it bloody annoying, and pretty dull tbh. It started with the pellegrini stuff. And it was so bloody see-through as well. As soon as chelsea started doing well, not when they were inconsistent earlier in the season, he kept his mouth shut then. Then as soon as they started doing good, he started taking digs at pellegrini/city every bloody week.

then the wenger thing was just way over the line.
