I need to back that up?

You call Defoe a selfish player when in reality he's been taken off the team by his manager. I may be wrong about this, but has he even played in one game this year? ANY player who is proven like Defoe wants to play and if he's on the outs, it's only natural that they would go elsewhere.

And he won't do well in the MLS? Why not? Personally i think he's pretty well suited on account that he knows how to score goals and he's not that old.

ok first off I think you mistook my post. by selfish I meant in his play style. I don't mind him wanting to go to the MLS, he's not at an age where he's not ok with playing second fiddle to a far superior player. and that's fine; i wouldn't be either

he's played every europa game and been a sub at least once in the league, possibly twice, but that's not the issue.

The MLS style of play in defence would smother defoe up. He's not the type to just run past players with the ball. He needs a bit of room in the box to take a touch and have a go, and 10 percent of the time it goes in. He wouldn't be afforded the amount of shots needed to score since he's a very very high usage, selfish player. The equivalent of gay I'd say in football terms. He looks for him, not the team. Too many times I've seen him not celebrate when someone else scored cause he wanted to be passed the ball instead of them having a (successful) go on net. TFC is making a poor purchase in my opinion

i agree with pzabby; in terms of playing style, defoe is an extremely selfish player. in basketball terminology he would be called a black-hole. Give the ball to him, you ain't getting it back. He loves a shot. The type of player i hate. He's a decent striker with a decent goal record but if i took over at a team where he was, i'd sell him straight away.

Dude those are the rules of UEFA. If you win the biggest club tournament in the world you're guaranteed a spot in next season's biggest club tournament. Real did that in the glory days before the fall with Becks,R9, etc.

Arsenal keep winning because first they have the best (arguably this year) midfielder in the BPL in Ozil. I never truly realized how good he is.

Secondly, Ramsey, who I wanted out of the squad, is finally living up to his potential and has been dynamite this year.

Giroud,is just finishing his chances which is all he needs to do.

And lastly, consistency on the squad. Arteta has really flourished as a deep lying playmaker, the midfield in general causes havoc offensively, our depth is there and we're not trying to integrate 3,4,5 new players. There's something to be said about that.

Hmm, I seem to recall people on here giving me a little shtick because I said how good he was and people said that he's inconsistent, can't perform in big games, etc.

Ha! I had to go back and I did a forum search for Ozil.

Here's what I said:

World Soccer Thread

I agree. Cristiano overshadowed Ozil and his class.

Suarez' performance last night has to be one of the best individual performances of recent times? 4 goals, 3 amazing and 1 good plus an assist. Wow.

This World Cup will truly be one for the ages. Spain in one of the groups of death. Quite a few groups where 1 team is obviously going through but there's a fight for the other spot.
