good game. Atletico won more trophies than Real and Barca this season.
He should be. He may have made Chelsea do well domestically but he failed 2 deliver the ultimate prize-which he didn't deliver @ Real either.

Atletico were like Chelsea 2day-defend a lot + get extremely lucky.

I'd like some domestic success and stability for a change. got European titles already.

would you guys consider a debate aarguing who is better in ronaldo or bale at this moment?

not who is worth more, since bale is younger, but who at this moment, ability wise, is better.

Given as how Chelsea secured its first UCL it's understandable. I've only wanted one thing for Real above all else obviously.

At the moment - CR7. The guy's the 2nd best goal machine behind Messi. He's also improved his passing and is getting more assists now too. 201 goals already for Real in only 4 seasons. He's also more mature and doesn't really dive that much anymore. His heading ability is quite good too. His free kicks need 2 improve. He uses his abilities well to translate that into production and results. At the moment Bale is not better but in the future maybe. Bale is possibly better at free kicks at the moment.

Also - Arsenal better draw or lose and Spurs better win this weekend.

when Ronaldo was 23 he had 17 more goals and played for an elite team. right now I would say Ronaldo is 2x the player. Really need to see what Bale can do in a big club and see if his performance suffers by playing with star teammates. Bale is a better defender though and he's left footed, which makes him a threat to cross the ball unlike Ronaldo.

Right now its Messi.. Ronaldo...................... next guy

Well said. Do you think that next guy is Falcao?

An issue I can see arising is what happens if/when Bale is not "the man" on a team? Also, does Bale have a better work rate than DiMaria?

I read that apparently City have paid or are going to pay 54 million pounds(60 million euros) for Falcao.

Arsenal needed to draw or lose

Also - Ancelotti - shivers. I have a fear that this will be used to try to resurrect Kaka

Neither really just if Spurs had been 4th it would've practically guaranteed Bale would stay.

rest assured he said he is staying, he is also signing a new 130000/week contract, and levy has confirmed it.

meh. as much as I dont want him to go, and he wont this season, if and when he does, an attacking mid lineup of ronaldo---ozil----bale would be absolutely trecherous. then di maria as a super sub and/or rotation for cups, etc, man.. it would be the most deadly mid in the game, with khedira providing the defensive cover and luka/alonso (where luka should be playing) pulling the strings.

imagine having both bale and ronaldo standing over free kicks??? every keeper would shit his pants from free kicks within 35 yards

In theory that is nice but in practice it doesn't work out so well. Just getting more "stars" isn't the answer. I think I'd want Bale as CR7's replacement more than them playing 2gether. I don't think DiMaria would take kindly being a sub. The question remains - can Bale handle not "being the man" like he is currently. Not to mention Angel and Mesut make CR7 look really really good and do a lot of work to get him goals. Will Bale defer? Xabi and Luka will rotate. Xabi still has a lot left in him (like Pirlo and Xavi). Sometimes Xabi and Luka will start 2gether (like against weak teams). Modric will play practically every game next season. Either playing in place of Alonso or Khedira (depending on the matchup) or coming off the bench for Alonso each game probably (maybe @ halftime or 60 minute mark) or giving Ozil a breather.

Bale, CR7, Xabi, Ozil, Luka - lots of options for free kicks lol.

Random thought but: no striker if Bale were to come (with DiMaria and CR7 still present). CR7 is a machine and Bale can score too. Not to mention there'd be more defensive integrity. CR7, Ozil, DiMaria and Bale on at the same time.

I think you need a striker there to draw attention away from those 4. benzema is perfectly molded for your system, and should always start at 9.

luka is not even in the same conversation as ronaldo or bale in terms of free kick ability, direct or otherwise. bale is a left footed player who does very well on the right, but also does a brilliant job in the center or left. vice versa for ronaldo. with those two being so versatile with the likes of xabi/luka/ozil making brilliant passes to open up the lanes it wouldnt be an argument who to start in maria or bale. bale was not the sole focus last season, and to a lesser extent the first half of this season. he still did very well setting others up. once our strikers ran dry in the second half, he stepped up with goals when we needed them. point being, bale does what you need him to do, including defensively since believe it or not he was a full back at one point.

bale is reayd for madrid, but theres no need to rush it. stay with spurs for another season, which he will, he will learn more so how to play with better players with more creativity and a striker who can actually score ala moutinho and villa, then make your big move after you win the treble with spurs

good points. however DiMaria + Ozil make CR7 look real good. Will Bale be a passer 1st and foremost on a team with CR7? An issue I have is that Bale loves to play in the same position as CR7. He's never played on the right full time. Oh yeah, Bale was a LB/LWB b4. That's good for d. I love Benz it's just this season he's been brutal. There was a winger long ago from the BPL who came to Real. He was quite popular and played on an accomplished squad. However he achieved very little at Real (in terms of trophies) and his presence would help commence a disgraceful 6 year run in Europe. What I'm saying is big moves aren't always needed especially when the squad already has a s**tload of attacking talent and a lot in the youth ranks too.

After the Treble with Spurs?
