If true, makes sense for a guy like Cavani (with Lavezzi there already) to be targeted. Chelsea have bigger fish to fry, i.e. getting a manager.

Anyways, this is football, rumors are just that, rumors and very rarely do players go to team's you anticipate.
very fair, but to be honest, if zlatan does leave and psg are looking for a number nine, they'll get the best one on the market. by far that is falcao. I could see them easily spending CR7 money and not being phased at all. they have said (the owners) they'll spend 100 million every season for 6 seasons (or 5?). regardless, the is one of those seasons, and if it gets them the world's great number 9 behind messi, why not?

Is Falcao being sold even a certainty though? If I was he, I'd stay with Athletico. Makes more sense to stay and play in, at the moment in my opinion, the best league in the world.

maybe my hate for le arse has spiked up but that's only cause the NLD is only a couple days away
Arsenal have the 4th highest wage bill in the EPL (10m less than ManU) and they make $100 mil/year more than Spuds. Lewa makes 30,000/week and Dortmund offered 60,000/week. I think Arsenal can offer more considering they pay Podolski 110,000/week.

never knew Atletico played in the Budesliga

if he stays at Atletico the biggest thing he can win is Europa League. La Liga will be dominated by Real/Barsa in the next 5 years and they aren't winning the Champs League any time soon.

I think it'll be dominated for the next 50 years by real and barca, and hence why I don't think it's the best league in the world at all. epl, bundesliga, siere a/la liga, then ligue 1 (which is growing while the former two are getting worse)

can't predict 50 years into the future. Clubs like Valencia had times when they had the best young players in Spain and Barsa didn't win much of anything between 1999-2004.
Looks like Bayern got their shit together and are going to dominate the league for the next 4 years.

Thank you good sir. Valencia were monsters. They lost two straight UCL finals. One against Real Madrid the other in pks against Bayern Munchen. They also won a UEFA Cup. Also, I think when Real one each UCL they came 2nd, 3rd and 5th in La Liga. Deportivo won a league. Celta was playing top 6 soccer. Barca were nothing special at the time although Rivaldo was a boss.

I agree that the Bundesliga have the best league in the world at the moment. Great youth setups, no crazy transfers, no crazy foreign owners, wise spending, pretty solid competition between all. Serie A obviously has the best D + arguably best tactics. La Liga has phenomenal youth setups and the biggest impetus on offense and ball retention. BPL puts impetus on physicality and is the money league all things considered.

Ligue 1 is probably after the big 4. Russia I think is seriously underrated - the 4 moscow sides, zenit, anzhi and rubin kazan - not too bad (better than portugal, turkey, greek leagues imo, maybe on par with the dutch, maybe).

Regarding Falcao - I think they'll be playing in the UCL next season. I think he'd be better though getting secure UCL season after season - that can definitely happen at PSG.

Zlatan is a baby. He'll say anything for attention. Also, do you really see Zlatan and Pep joining forces again? After all the problems them had together in Barce

Llorente to join Juventus

Juventus can confirm that Spanish international striker Fernando Llorente will join the club on 1 July 2013.
The 27-year-old has agreed terms on a four-year deal and will move to Turin when his Athletic Bilbao contract expires at the end of the current season
Llorente to join Juventus - Juventus.com

I don't see Juve spending on another striker. Altough for a bosman its always possible

Hence, why I believe I stated, I wouldn't be surprised to see a big name go there (Russia).

got back from a Bologna game today... they really play an interesting soccer. Another once, I'm surprised they have that amount of (few) points.

Oh, and Cagliari plays way worse than Pescara.

Malaga and Atletico 0 - 0. Betis and Real Sociedad 3-3. Levante and Valencia 2-2. Every team positioning for 4th-6th (not to mention Atletico who could've cut Barca's lead to single digits) drew this weekend.
