maybe they'd give a good fight, but i hardly think they'd "own" any MLS team. just saying.

Not any just TFC

Seriously we got a glimpse of what it was like when we seen both the Impact and Vancouver command each game they had against TFC except one. That back 4 is terrible I could see a bunch of up and coming Croatian kids holding there own against TFC who lacks many things including a striker and back 4.

Funny after two ties Jamaica fired their coach. After a horrid U-21 World Cup that Canada hosted and a pathetic qualifier Mitchell is still around.

Canada would be more successful if the CSA had some sort of plan. You need better structuring, better grassroots program - football (soccer) is one of the cheapest games to play in the world - and therefore, more kids are playing - and especially with the increasing exposure of football in Canada over the past 10-15 years, there needs to be a program implemented - much like how Hockey Canada has one - to foster and develop kids from a young age

I think Canada does have kids at a young age its that bridge from 16 and on that they don't have. The CSA is a complete joke and should be torn down right down.

Its pretty hard being a Canada fan. I myself went to both the Jaimaica game in Toronto and Honduras game in Montreal. I have to tell ya when I went to Montreal it didn't even feel like I was in Canada. Worst Montreal trip ever

the CSA is the texbook example of how NOT to run a national sports organization.

mismanagment of players, money, fans, venues, coaching... EVERYTHANG. You name it? They've fucked it up. As a loing time Canadian soccer supporter i started a boycott of all things CSA after the Honduras in Montreal debaucle.

It's as simple as that.

so fuck'em. They don't deserve my support.

I feel your pain bro.

there just comes a point in time when you say enough is enough. that game in montreal did it for me. I wasn't there, but i think i would have exploded from all my rage had i made the trip. Of course, i was at the Jamaica game, and after i really thought things would change. wrong.

This whole WC qualifying run broke my heart.

Ya when I went to the Jamaica came I felt kind of proud at the game. Never in my wildest dreams would I think I would see a CAnadian soccer team play in canada when most of the fans are cheering for Canada. It was a great moment and everyone across the country say that Toronto has no national pride they should have been at that game. Yes their was still alot of Jamaican fans but Canadian fans drowned them out.

As for the game in Montreal. Cops stopped us from going out of the stadium treating us like visitors. We had to exit the stadium on this detour route to separate us from the Hondurans supporters. Beer was thrown in the Canadian supporters seats. A Honduran came to fight only by one Canadian supporter to throw him on the field. Rocks were thrown at cars coming out of Stade Suputo. It was just a disgrace. One Canadian Supporter beside me broke two chairs beside us.

I love Montreal I really do. I've been there more times than I can count but for Canadian soccer? Never again. As far as I'm concerned Canada should just completely downgrade the program and play all games in Toronto. At least fans show up and support the home team.

Oh and note to the CSA. How could you be so stupid and throw in Jamican supporters right where all the Canadian Soccer Diehards like to sit?

You would think that was the reason why a Paddy Wagon showed up at halftime

Mark my word, the Canadian program will get better because the talent pool in Canada is getting stronger by the year. To give you an idea, the U17 team my father coaches here in Ottawa is heading to Tampa Bay today for the North American finals. The Fury here in Ottawa were the top team for U17 in Eastern Canada as well the Eastern United States and claimed the New England Division in the SYL League. One of his kids has been offered a contract with West Ham. Not an academy contact, an actual multi million dollar deal. 2 other kids have been invited to academies at Everton and Hull. Not bad and these are just kids from Ottawa.

So have faith guys, Canada will get stronger in the next couple years. Book it.

Maybe but I ain't going to Montreal to watch a game in that pathetic mess. Hopefully Melnyk builds that soccer complex beside the Sens arena though.

Its just sad cause I watch guys like Dero and Deguzman who can actually play footy but to get coached by a minor league material coach like Mitchell

I don't get Canadians who cheer for other nations when your own home country is playing. I went to a friendly between Canada and Brazil (women's soccer) in late June. ANd you wouldn't believe the amount of Canadians.. i mean, people who were actually born HERE who were cheering for Brazil. It just made me sick to my stomach. You can't tell me there are like 10,000 born-Hondurans living in Montreal. No way.
