United should have won that game. They had so many chances. Good on Villareal though for coming up to Old Trafford and walking out with a tie. Hopefully the Red Devils will wax them in the return match.

Villareal played pretty well, they didnt just stand in their own area waitign and they had some good chances, and thats a lot to say when you are playing in Old Trafford. Villareal never backs up. Its true Man Unit had a lot of good chances and they definetly played really well.

I would have to say it was one of those games were one team deserved more than a tie, but the other didnt deserve to lose.

The weird thing was Sena not playing, was him injuried? Edmilson isn't bad, but at the offensive part I prefer Sena.

Barcelona just made 5 goals to Atletico in the first 30 minutes. Lol at Atleticos defense.

This could be a record.

Hey Bel - your fellow Spaniard Fernando had another monster game - scoring twice. Liverpool overcame a 2 nil deficit at halftime to beat Manchester City 3-2. Fantastic victory for us as Man City are quickly becoming major players in the premiership.

Anyways, the Reds are still top of the table and Fancy Lad remains a happy man.

Who loses first? Liverpool or Chelsea? My money's on Liverpool.

On a side note, looks like I have a good chance to see a Chelsea game in London next fall. The wife and I have family there that we're hoping to visit and they have very good friends who have connections to the Blues. I sooooo hope I can attend a game live there next fall when we're visiting.

That's a long way to go just to see Chelsea lose. you can do that from home.

Just kidding Doc, that's friggin amazing. Tickets like that are very hard to come by. I'm still hoping I'll get a chance to go to Old Trafford one day.

Default Beckham leaving LA!

Beckham will join AC Milan until summer on a loan deal. LA sucks, MLS stops and Becks wants to keep fit for the National Team by training and playing with Milan.

I just watched the match today morning before going to work (taped it through the night). I'm pretty dissapointed with the tie. Still atletico seemed to be putting on some pressure at the end. If they had won, i would have been downright furious. Personally, i thought Liverpool was very luck lustre in the second half. Babel did nothing - outside of the one good chance where i thought he was tampered with by the Atletico defender. Usually Babel is instant energy as a sub - not this game though. We missed Gerrard in the second very much.

Kinda a shitty game really. Oh well, that's football sometimes.

Hey Bel, that blond Diego for atletico guy kinda sucks.
and too bad Torres was injured.

wow man, I though i was an awesome game. Liverpool played really well in the first half, atletico was pathetic before the last 30 minutes. Liverpool missed Gerrard and Alonso a lot.

And, how can you say that about Diego Forlan!!!! (Uruguay) he is one of my favourite players. One of the best and most effective attackers in the world. He is a mix of Villa and Van Nistelroy. Not a fan of Atletico at all, but him and Aguero are awesome.

And as much as hate Torres, with him in the team it would have been 5 - 0 for liverpool.
