Porto got good money for Hulk (40 million). wonder if he'll like Russia.
then Zenit overpays for Axel Witsel (32m) the same amount as the Hazard transfer. At least Hazard was twice player of the year in France and two years younger.

Wow Hulk to Zenit. Spalletti gathering some decent players there. Of course at over inflated prices.

Found this quite funny. Esp. when he comes to Luka. The ignornace of it all makes it so hilarious

Steven Jovetic has confirmed that he turned down the opportunity to leave Fiorentina during the summer transfer window.

The Montenegrin was linked with the likes of Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City, but he has remained in Viola to score three goals in their first two League games of the season.

“I’m happy to be at Fiorentina, otherwise I would have left,” the 22-year-old forward told Sky Sport Italia.
“I had a lot of offers, but, in the end, I decided to stay because I was promised that the club would build a great team this summer and they have done that.

“For me, it is important that I am part of an ambitious side who can fight for important objectives.

“My agent did his job, he told me of the proposals that came in, but I have to ultimately make the decision where to play my football and I’m happy with the choice made.”

The Stadio Artemio Franchi outfit value the youngster at around €30m
Just to show that in order to get high transfer value for your players they have to actually show a desire to stay with your club. Just saying

not really. we actually had a profit in terms of outgoing and incoming, but got some really good players in the incoming, and got rid of some dead weight. the VDV sale was sad, but had to be done, you can't turn down a profit on a 29 year old, injury prone, CAM who though is class, doesn't fit in the system being built here.

So, without a deep-lying playmaker, will Tottenham employ a CDM with a CAM while playing two strikers as well? I would love to see a team play a 4-1-2-1-2 (diamond). (It's been a while)

I doubt it. There isnt enough protection for the back. Wed get killed on counters.

Were going to move to a 4-3-3 where dembele would be our dribbler and sig our playmaker, this allows us to play without a true deep lying playmaker and still be creative.

true.

also, aren't sig... and dembele both attacking midfielders? so 2 CAMs, a cdm, 2 wingers and a striker?
