ever since Germany installed their own FFP around 2003 Werder Bremen, Bayern, Stuttgart, Wolfsburg and Dortmund have won the league. Bayern can spend more because they make the most profit in the league. basically all the teams are community owned and they develop players

La Liga is the league that is the most top heavy. Atletico, Bilbao and Valencia are no where near Barsa and Real. are they still negotiating their own tv deals?
What I'm trying to say is that during the season 2 teams always emerge as frontrunners (at least in Germany, Italy, England and Spain). Regarding Chelsea - they could've done better in the BPL last year but they were concentrating on UCL. I think Man City and one of Man U or Chelsea will be the winners of BPL for the next few years. Man U are very consistent.

Bundesliga - who would've guessed that Dortmund would've won the league in 2011 and then again last season.

Klopp was slowly improving the team since 2008. most of Dortmund's key players graduated to the senior squad in 2009 (finished 5th) and then they added Kagawa and Lewandowski. Everyone in Germany knew they had the best academy.
Kagawa was injured half of the 2010-2011 season... won the league
Gotze injured for the 2011-2012 season... won the league
Kagawa picked up where Sahin left off and Reus will take over Kagawa's spot.

Julio Ceasar and Pazzini left off of Inter Europa Roster. Rumour has it both will be shipped out. Pazzini linked with Juve (oh dear god) and Julio Ceasar to Spurs, Gunners and Milan.

Bonucci and Conte linked up with Italy betting scandal. I swear Italy has to be the most backwards first world country on the planet.

Emmanuel Adebayor's proposed move to Tottenham is on the rocks after the striker demanded that Manchester City pay the Ģ5million transfer fee directly to him.
The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at White Hart Lane, but he will have to take a massive cut in his Ģ175,000-a-week salary if he were to make the move permanent.

I really doubt anyone predicted them winning the bundesliga 2 years in a row. Also, they didn't do well in UCL.

yeah. people didn't expect them to win 2 in a row 5 years ago but isn't that what you want in a league? less predicability and a team using their youth system
of course they didn't do well. I don't think anyone on the team even played in UCL before. they're all youngsters

I'm not referring to 5 years ago, I'm referring to before the start of the 10/11 season.

well in that case people expected them to finish in the top 3, so winning wasn't a farfetched idea.

didn't know Cavani was in the Olympics. Suarez, Hernandez, Cavani and Ramirez is one heck of an attacking side

True but people usually expect Arsenal to finish in the top 3, doesn't mean they'll win the league though

Pazzini is way better than Matri despite his last year.

Oh, lol@Conte

"I'll fight to prove my innocence"
And he pled bargain.

Pretty like what every innocent would do, yeah.

Funny I didn't know he accepted a plea bargain. I just read that he was offered one. I know that if he takes it he'll be out for 4 months and most likely Baroni will coach the team during in game sitatuations. I heard Bonucci may be in a pile of junk though. May face up to 3 years but its all just speculation right now from what I read anyways.

Its funny some guys that actually fixed matches get six months but people who are suspected of with holding evidence, talking to officials at a casual basis get thrown the book.

Again such is Italy.

Can someone explain to me what in the hell happened to Spain in these Olympics? When my mom told me that they were out after losing to Japan and Honduras I thought that she was kidding me and I refused to believe her until I looked it up for myself.

How do you get shut out against BOTH of those squads after dominating the WC and Euro?

The Men's Soccer/Football tournament at the Olympics is a tournament for players under the age of 23 (only 3 players on each
squad are allowed to be over the age of 23).

Regarding Spain's squad, only 3 players from the 2012 Eurocup team were on the olympic squad - 2 of which played 10 minutes max in the whole Euro tournament.

I have no clue how teams even qualify for Olympic soccer and europe gets only 4 out of 16 places. A tournament without Germany, Italy, France and Argentina is kind of odd.

Ahhhhh..... OK then. Still... pretty shocking that Spain's under 23 talent is that poor.

Poor? lol

They are really good. Just had a really bad tournament. In that second game, 2 penalties not called, 3 crossbars (is that how you say it?), something like 20 shots on goal. Not that they deserved more, but they are definetly an ultra talented squad.

The talent is not poor. Espana are currently U19 and U21 champions of Europe.

There is more to winning games than just having talent. Also, Belsius - they shouldn't have played Montoya that much.
