LOL - Euro hostilities all the way, eh?

I will withhold the use of choice Russian until after the semi-final match today. But if Russians play the way they did against the Dutch (another team I traditionally root for in the international competitions), the Finals are sure going to be a doozy!

We then become enemies for a minimum 90 minutes then Mike.

Well...

The Russians are back to being their usual sucky selves. I guess that brilliant game against Netherlands was just an abberation.

Spain just dominated today. Should be a great final. But I'm actually going for Spain here.

On a side note: Donadoni, the Italian coach, is gone and guess who is returning???

MARCELLO LIPPI!!!!!!!

"I'm sorry that a penalty kick has decided this situation," Donadoni said after the meeting, according to the ANSA news agency. "Over these last two years, my Italy also did something positive, and one last game can't erase that."

Hours later, Lippi took over.

Lippi was Donadoni's predecessor and led Italy to victory in the 2006 World Cup. The soccer federation said in a statement that he will be presented at a news conference Tuesday.

Well, its on like Donkey Kong Belsius.

Don't like our chances now. With Ballack out, I don't know if we can replace such a key component of our squad. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not optimistic. (surprise, surprise)

Fabregas will get alot of burn today in the midfield for Spain. The way he was pushing the ball up against the Russians was amazing. Having him play for 90 minutes today is going to make me nervous. Probably the most underrated player in the tournament in my opinion.

Ugh .... what the hell was Lehmann thinking by not helping and challenging Torres sooner. He was hesitant and came out too late to help Lahm.

Anyhow, the better is certainly Spain so far. I'm hoping for a more aggressive German side during this second half.
