Damn! This ENG/SWE game is WAY more entertaining than I thought it would be.

English defense looks a bit shaky but I'm loving the fact that they're opening things up on offense.

What a second half in the England/Sweden game. Walcott = man of the match.

We ain't focused all the game, that's it. Against both Spain and Croatia the opponents tied due to a 20' blackout of us.

england sweden game was great!

Happy to see Andy Carroll net one. The boy is an effective player if used properly. You know what? England HAS the players to do really well. What do they do now with Rooney coming back?

France looking good and Ukraine coming back down to earth.

I just hate the way teams like greece play. It's just infuriating, and kills the game. I just feel gross about this result.

And why the hell is it based on head to head? Group stages should be based on how well you do in the group.........

fuck, I'm very angry right now. I hope greece somehow face germany and get a 10-0 thrashing.

you know, i'm torn right now. I love france, absolutely my third favourite national team (past Iran for obvious reasons and croatia cause of modders) because of the way they play and the fact that they have my favourite striker, benzema. However, if theres a chance we get blanc as our manager, France would have to be knocked out, or we fall behind in the transfer saga. So I want them out, but I also want them to go far.

chances are slim though, because I believe blanc won't leave a project unfinished so he'll sign an extension. It's looking more and more like AVB is going to be our next manager which makes me excited and worried. He's a high risk, high reward. He could lead us to win the league in a few years, by filling his potential, or he could alienate some of our players and get them infuriated and wanting to leave (even more so). I would have preferred capello but, when you're building a stadium AND have to contend with spenders like city, chelsea, and united at the top of the table (and liverpool at the middle ), what the fuck ya gonna do?

in other news, There's talk about a spurs takeover, but not by liverpool's owners, apparantly by the kharafi Family in kuwait who are some of the richest people in the world. And not just through oil, they've invested smartly in many other assets throughout the years, gaining more and more. I don't know how I feel about this. Sure it'll be nice to buy players like hazard and co when they say they want to come to us and not have them snatched out from under us to other cash cows, but question is, do I want the beloved spurs to become a cash cow? Do I want to buy a title, or have it earned through smart financial planning, having it earned by the club itself through stadium seats, leading to more indorsements, marketing, merchandise sales, etc and not injected like chelsea and city?

the guy "interested" in Tottenham is the same person who was interested in Liverpool a couple years ago. You're living a dream if you think not spending a lot will win you a title . Barcelona brings up plenty of youth players every year, but they are still the biggest spenders (with enormous debts).

Pzabby, you act like Tottenham are Levante from Spain. All teams spend money, it's just some spend more than others.

I don't mind as much if said money is earned through football transactions. what I don't like is teams having sugar daddies to fund titles.
