Wow, what a game, Turkey deserved it probably. Cech is going to remember this one for a looong time. I love Nihat, he is such a great attacker.

Croatia - Turkey quarter finals should be a great game. Ill probalby root for Turkey. Sorry Claudius

You know what, I'm looking forward to playing Turkey. I did not want to face the Czech Republic. If I'm Bilic tomorrow, I use it as a statement game, sorry Fancy and Tommy.

crap.

I went to a sports bar with my wife's Czech family. We were all decked out in Czech gear. Great game up until thye last 5 minutes. Stupid Peter Cech for fucking up that routine cross. Personally i thought the go-ahead goal was offside, but meh.

Stupid me too, as i was talking to a Turkish fan during halftime and i was consoling him too. told him that it was still anyone's game even though the Czechs looked clearly stronger.

ugh. That was a game to forget.

Seriously, this Euro cup has really really sucked for me.

ya. I hear you.

However sometimes the anguish of defeat stings more than not making the tourny.

I'm cheering for Holland now (as a liverpool fan). Holland and spain (again as a liverpool fan).

Can Spain and Holland meet in the finals? If they get as far as they do, wouldn't they meet up in the semis?

Im actually not sure. Spain is playing the second team of Hollands group in the quarters. So It guess I wouldnt have sense to play against Holland in the semis because that would mean that if spain lost, 2 teams of the same group would be playing together.

Germans better rip the Austrians a new one today.

Only shitty thing is that Podolski looks like he's going to sit this one out.

btw Anyone catch TFC's match against Colorado?

I had the pleasure of being at the game, and allow me to say that it was the best match i've ever seen them play. All 3 goals they scored were fantastic. (2 by Rohan Ricketts, 1 by Dichio).

the second Ricketts goal was an amazing individual effort as he danced around two defenders and then fired a bullet into the top corner of the net.

TFC is looking good!

That's true. He really isn't much of a scorer. He tends to look to pass more than to shoot. But with the skill he displayed on saturday, i wouldn't mind seeing him shoot more. He did score an amazing goal with Tottenham a few years back (saw it on youtube).

As for his "personality", the guy is hilarious. I really like what he brings to the team. If you haven't seen the TFC TV episodes from the team's website, i highly recommend people watch them. They offer great glimpses into the players and their personalities. Rohan specifically is one of the funnier guys. It would be cool if the Raptors could put something together like that.

Sad part is the Dutch will throw the game against Romania to ensure Italy and France are both eliminated.

My only joy them will be thrashing the Italians for the Criminal act they were responsible for in the Wold Cup after they walked away as if they were champions after being dominated for 90 minutes by france, and winning in a friggan penalty shot circus show.

Ya thats right, penalty kicks are ridiculous. The pRes. of FIFA even acknowledged after that game that they were a poor way to pick a winner.
