I think we both agree with most people that enjoy soccer Jattdogg. Italian soccer is violent, dirty, boring and they always get to really far that way. Theur fans are the only ones in the modern countries that are not trying to control themselves.

IMO Best league is the spanish. Most tactic, and with most level, many teams that can win anyone, BUT the most fun is the english, really fast and hard.

Wenger said he knew something like this was going to happend sooner or later, because it is the only way to stop Arsenal. Im all for hard playing, but this is just insane

ya i posted about this in the soccer thread...

This was a horrible tacking resulting in a horrible injury....but honestly these types of tackles happen every game...i dont think the meant to breka the guys leg...he went in for the challenge and obviously caught Eduardo too high which was bad...

If you ban the guy, u pretty much ban half the league becaue this shit happens all the time.

1. I'm an Arsenal supporter and this sickens me. Wenger was right in his post game comments and I'm pissed at him that he retracted them after the game. It was ugly and it pissed me off. I guess the good news is that at least Walcott has earned some playing time and has produced.

2. This is a huge blow to team Croatia and their hopes for Euro 2008. We're not deep enough and losing our best striker? Shit.

Anyways, Da Silva I hope you get better and HOPEFULLY are able to resume your career.

WTF is wrong with this players, look what they did to Robben in the Real Madrid - Recreativo game on saturday. He is lucky he didnt end up like Da silva. Only one month out with a concussion and Sprained ankle.

Poor Robben, he has such a bad luck with injuries. He could be on of the best players in the world.

It really sucks, I really think that guys what make this kind of things should be out of the game till the injured guy could come back to play.

If you can show there was serious intent or malice in a tackle, i think that could be fair. They keep saying to clean up soccer but FIFA is afraid to take a real tough stance against players/teams.

How can you make things better if you dont make punishment and fines more excessive?

Its just like with harassing the ref after a foul call. Instant red, fuck off and learn a lesson. If you keep giving reds, players will get the point.

Fifa need to grow some balls
