Would be nice to see Ireland back in the world cup so that England can beat them and send em back to Dublin for a few pints of Guinness lol.

Jokes, honestly it would be cool to see them there. They played very well against the Italians the other day (who yet again make it into the world cup looking like MEHHHHHH at best).

Would love to see Cameroon and Nigeria make it to the finals.
I don't think Bilic is the problem. He's the only coaching trying to enstill (sp) some form of discipline on the squad.

The problem was at no point were we truly healthy. We didn't have Eduardo until mid-way. Then we lose Modric and then Corluka. Add into the fact that we have some players who just aren't good and you have a disaster.

And then you have some of the problem players who just don't care. We're a mess imo.

And Italy, yet again, looks pedestrian, but you know by the grace of God they'll reach the semi-finals. I'm now just praying that Portugal and Cristiano don't make it. That would be superb.

who's in from Africa?
I think Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire qualified already

I'm surprised Denmark, Slovakia and to an extent Switzerland made it

dude... not even close - They failed pretty epically. Just like the Czechs, Poland fired their manager (Leo Benhakker) part way through qualifying. Really ever since Boruc let in the world's weakest goal against Northern Ireland (game which ended as a tie in the summer), the team has fallen apart completely.

Oh well, at least they've already qualified for the next Euro championships!

honestly, not as long as the CSA is being run the way it is.

I used to be a rose-glass wearing optimist when it came to the Canadians just a short time ago. Hell, i really thought they would have pushed for a spot this time around.... and as we all saw it was not even close. Shamefull really.

meh.

Hey, if the canadian soccer association doesn't care, why should i?

That was a fantastic game. The US really rallied around the accident to Charlie Davies. I mean, it was a nothing game for the US as they had already qualified, but they went balls out for it in support of their teammate. Too bad the Ticos have to play Uruguay for that extra spot.

It's so true. They never really seem to be the TEAM to beat. They just prance in and end up in the semis and thats just the way it is. Can't knock em for doing so but to me they just never show WHY they are that good.

I don't think portugal has a good enough team to make it to the semis/finals this time around (if they qualify) so screw them lol. I see them dropping out in the 2nd round.

I'd like to see either England (of course, i'm biased) or a team from Africa or South America (other then Argentina/Brazil) win the the cup.

One soccer team i've always liked for some odd reason is Mexico. Wouldn't that be something if they won.

All i know is that if the US win, i'm switching sports lol

Montreal won the USL title
TFC is in the 8th a final playoff spot but 3 other teams have the same amount of points
looks like TFC owns the tiebreaker so a win in the Meadowlands should be enough

MLS isn't that bad guys. It's just that Toronto FC isn't that good. There is a difference.

You know who else isn't that good?

Liverpool.

I wonder who Milan's next big signing will be, they are badly in need of one. I wish they could have signed Luis Fabiano a while back since I saw him play for the Brazilian national team during the Confed. cup
