I'd love it if Poland would be a darkhorse. Absolutely love it.

However, in a group with Germany and Croatia - that may be too much of a long shot.

Yup ... most soccer analysts are picking them as the favourites to win it all.

I would call the Netherlands a dark horse, because they're perennial chokers..and this time around having to play in a group with Italy and France, I'd say they're a dark horse.

I dunno. That is the group of death.

I wouldn't call any of those teams darkhorses.

and one of them is going to be in the unfortunate position of getting knocked out early.

Hopefully Italy, eh Bel?

I'm in the group that hopes Italy gets bounced, but in the end, I do think that Holland will get left behind.

i hope Italy gets bounced too int hat first round...i hope something crazy happens like a red card that they cry about for 14 years after the game is over haha.

That group is going to be a tough one....seeing how scotland almost won that group in qualifying, holland is a better team then scotland so.....Italy and France have it tough.

I wouldnt be suprised to see holland as one of the 2 to proceed through that group. Go holland ya damn freaky deaky dutch

any of you catch the Canada-Brazil match last night?

You can make excuses for Brazil all you want
ie- players just returned from europe...no cohesion...blah blah same for our squad.

The point is we played football like i havent seen in what seems like ever. We actualyl attacked the opponents net...i as orgasming at the site of it...ok maybe not...but my oh my what a display from our guys.

We are not expected to beat brazil and even a half ass brazilian team....but to lose 3-2 was something else. Things look bright for our boys in red and i look forward to them building on this little milestone. We have to use games like this to show our team, our youth that we can play with the big boys.

Sure Brazil could have had severl other goals but we should have as well.

I must say though, pat ondstant sucks balls. We need a real keeper.

Yeah man, i caught that game. I've actually been keeping a close eye on the Canadian mens team for the past few years.

Things definately look bright for "our boys in red" for a while now Jatt. You saw it last year in the Gold Cup. They were actually robbed of the game vs. the USA by the refs.
Fact is now Canada is pretty balanced and has quality players all over the pitch. Serioux, Jazic, DeGuzman (what a goal by him BTW), Friend, Hume, Hutchinson, and my personal favorite Dwayne Derosario are all solid solid footballers.
For the first time on years, decades, i actually think Canada "Should" qualify for a worldcup spot.

I'm calling it here RIGHT NOW: Canada will finish 2nd in concacaf qualifying. not third.... second! That's right, we'll finish ahead of either US or Mexico.

And Ondstat is actually pretty good. I'm also confident in Sutton (TFC's keeper). He's Canada's no.2 option right now, but should be very good if called upon.

Brazil was missing Kaka, Ronaldinho.. those dudes aren't scrubs. But good showing by Canada nonetheless. And Jesus, how old is Onstad? 50? I remember that dude playing for the Toronto Blizzard WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day.

2:45 is what i saw when i checked.

Whichever channel it's on, Polska WILL beat Germany for the first time in history on sunday.
