watch for atletico and Sevilla next year. If you ask me Man City will always suck.

Xabi will provide stability. He will be the Xavi of Madrid. Do you know anymore rumors of players going to Madrid because i would be very dissapointed and surprised if Van Der Vart and Heinze return for next season
So many rumors. Arbeloa (sorry Fancy) was the other player that was probably comming but the conversations when cold I think. Ribery too, but apparently they are leaving that for next year (I hope he was the one here and nor Cristiano, oh well). Real is trying to sell now. All the dutch will probably be gone probably except Sneijder, wich is exactly what I want. Well, I love Van Nistelroy but sadly really theres no room for him with Raul there.

I agree Bel. Man City will suck because there's no direction there. There's no stabilizing force in the midfield nor in the back.

They had direction with Eriksson but they fucked that up royaly. Now, they're just brining in players. Santa Cruz was a bust at Blackburn. Why is he going to be so much better at Man City? Barry is a heart and soul type of player, but I've never been too impressed with his skill. Tevez was the best pick up for them so far. Bah.

Tottenham will be the team to watch out for. They played extremely well around late December/January.

they are like Everton/Villa/Tot of the EPL
good teams, but no shot at winning the league

I'd be surprised if Arsenal sold him to Man City. I could still see him being sold to AC Milan.

I like Man City too but I'd hate it if they buy Adebayor. Such a nice duo with my boy Van Persie.

I would love to see Fabiano go to Milan. Ive always been a fan of him and it is what they need. Also, i dont see inter doing much in the CL next year. They arent that good, its just that Juve and Milan SUCKED last year. Juve has really improved their squad this year with Melo + Diego. I dont know why Milan let gourcoff go to Borduex. All they have are old players with the exception of Pato.

Also i think a lot of strikers would work well with Van Persie because of the way he plays. He sets up the other players but can still finish. They only thing that would suck is if they play Van Persie as a forward by himself. He looks lost when he is the sole striker.

As an Arsenal fan, it's why he's so frustrating to watch.

I agree he's best as the roaming drop off guy behind a target guy. Other players will team up well with him allright but they know each other and play great together, if he's going to pair up with a new striker I feel that it will be a season without any real succes again. And Bendtner isn't going to be good enough anyway, great as a sub though.

This being a World Cup year I wouldn't mind Van Persie playing as the target guy some of the season. It might show our national coach some good alternative. Anyway, I'm happy for now because he is playing Van Persie on "10" now instead of on the right wing where Van Basten put him. I'm not really hopeful going into the World Cup, not as much as in the past, but for as far that I do have hope it's all on Van Persie.

It is because he is too isolated then. He is a passing player, he needs options to move the ball. Hasn't got the strength or speed to contain the ball and wait for others to move up the field like a Henry or a Adebayor. But I think that if he would play as the striker with real attackers on the wing or a real shadowstriker (that's how we call it in Holland) then he could play great there as well. The problem is that Arsenal although offensive minded look to dominate midfield and the striker is a bit on an island. Especially when it's not Van Persie as the '2nd striker' but perhaps Rosicky or in the past Hleb. Now with Arshavin it's already different I think. That's a player who looks more to support the striker than the midfield and so the striker is less isolated. They missed a guy like that on the wing since Pires left imo.

Van Persie is still not Bergkamp but I never doubt his capability to emulate his game after him. Like Kobe Bryant is compared to Michael Jordan kind of.. not quite as good but similar in a lot of ways and probably their biggest idol and 'imitating' their play. And Bergkamp was very good at times as the striker in our national team, at World Cups and Euro's. But always well supported up front, particularly from the wings (one of them always Overmars).

I could see Holland playing maybe its best possible games when they would play:

Robben/Babel - Van Persie - Kuyt
---------------Sneijder---------

Santa Cruz had a pretty good first season at Blackburn before Hughes left to City. If he can at least get semi-consistent first team appearances, he might be able to replicate that form. Problem is, they've now got Cruz, Tevez, Robinho, Bellamy, Benjani, Caicedo, Evans, possibly Adebayor. No clue how they expect any of their strikers to gel (and isn't it funny that Tevez was concerned about his lack of playing time at United? lol, enjoy City Carlos.)
So yeah, i agree with your first point. They desperately need some leaders at the back (i like Barry a lot though, so i think he'll do a good job in the middle).

I'm glad too but for different reasons. Suarez + Berg for Ajax, no thanks..

He's nothing like Sulejmani imo, I expect him to succeed anywhere really. If he doesn't it will be because there's somebody better, not because he will walk with his head in the clouds and becomes too fat.

They are going to play the brazilian formation with 2 strikers and 2 attacking wingers that come as strikers (robinho and tevez) with adebayor and santa cruz up front.

Robinho is alot better in that floating striker winger role anyway. He's a magician.

Robinho is looking worse every day. With Brazil in the Confecap he looked pathetic to say the least. I always though he deserved a chance to stay in Real or in another big team but right now he looks like a waste of talent in the body of a 12 year old. Pretty sad. He is still pretty young to change his ways but it doesnt look good. He is too lazy.
