![]() So Canada beat El Salvador 1-0 in gold cup action yesterday. Ali Gerba scored another goal, but it wasn't very spectacular.
Canada should have scored a couple more given some of their chances. Anyways, Canada totally dominated and were deserved victors. Julian De Guzman, Hutchinson, and McKenna were really good. Especially JDG. He was the man of the match and clearly playing at a level above all others. The guy is good. His control of the ball is phenomenal as is his sense of where everybody is. Craig Forrest commented about how he plays a few seconds ahead of everyone and it looked to be the case yesterday. anyways, good result for Canada. |

regarding Julian DeGuzman. I am a big fan of his. As most here know, i am a big Toronto FC fan and actually i don't want him here. This might sound strange, but i don't think a move to the MLS is what's best for him. He needs to stay in Europe while he's in the peak of his career. Maybe not in La Liga, but definately in a top league. Maybe Bundesliga? I dunno. Of course i will be happy if TFC land him, but i just think he can do better for himself. Even though i love TFC, i still think i'm pretty realistic in knowing where they and the MLS lie in the grand scheme of things. |

![]() Huntelaar is crazy. I hopes he stays with Real and van Marwijk keeps putting him on the bench, especially in the World Cup.
I think it's actually quite funny that they've upgraded pretty much all the positions they had a Dutch player. I always figured they aren't nearly good enough for Real. |
