and also, what's with these sheep like Ribery saying Madrid or nothing? Are players so lazy that they can only join allstar teams to win their trophies as opposed to actually challenging themselves and working hard?

I agree in part but they have the money and players want to play in Real, thats what every team would do and many actually do, just not as massively as them.
The only signing I dont like is Cristiano Ronaldos, and I would have taken Villa over Benzema, but the negotations werent done very well and he will end up in Barsa.
Ribery wants to play here because Zidane clearly said that he would take him to Real. They are very good friends.

Arbeloa and Xabi apparently are the next objetives. Xabi said the other day its not imposible he will play for Real. Barcelona are the ones after Masherano. Who knows.

Im not the biggest fan of the way they are building the team but after the crap of the last 5 years I can take this.

I doont think it has anything to do with WANTING to play for madrid. I cant see a frenchmen or a brazilian wanting to play for only Real.

The fact of the matter is they WANT to play for a team thats stupid enough to overpay for players and also knowing that some of the other stars are already there makes it easier.

What none of these losers realize is their egos make it hard for them to gel at times. I hope they all play well together but too many egos=not good. No offense Belsius (you know i got man love for you haha) but i hope Real fail miserably.

Real is destroying the game right now but the sad part of it all is that the same shit applies to most big club teams. Manchester, Chelsea, Barcelona, Milans, Liverpool fuck the list goes on all do the same shit. Sure it might be on a less scale then what Real is doing now but the fact of the matter is they are all doing it.

What Real is doing now is like what Manchester does to the likes of wigan, villa, fulham etc.

Football is becoming a battle of the haves vs the have nots which to me is ridiculous. How can you feel good about "buying" a championship or at least a top 3 team?

How can you expect fans of the other teams to "care" if they have no chance?

As a fan of a club (Leicester) that doenst have crazy money , id rather my team and other teams in my league turn around and tell the likes of Man Utd, Lpool, Chelsea (etc) to fuck off and start a whole new league with proper rules. If my team gets promoted to the Premier league next year they stand virtually no chance of staying up.

Fifa needs to step in and make ALL clubs implement at a local policy whereby more then half of your starting lineup has to be born within X amount of miles from your home and that you can only spend "X" amount of money on players (salary cap). Make it almost unbearable to go over the cap (something liek $3 for each $1 you go over the cap).

Im sure it can get more complex then that with the rules you implement. Im open to discussing that and seeing other ideas. The one i stated was praly one of many that i can think of.

I basically agree, but I cant see anything changing. The first step is obviously a salary cap and putting a limit of international players (EU should not count) in each team. But this is not going to happend, its imposible. Theres too much money on stake and agents, players, leagues, Uefa, FIFA will never agree.

What I dont understand is people feeling outraged when they pay 90 million for Cristiano and find normal to pay 30 for any other player (wich many teams do). 30 or 90 million for playing a sport? Or another example, Valencia fans are extremely pissed that Real or Barsa was going to get Villa from them. Didnt they rob Villa from Zaragoza? Didnt Zaragoza rob him from Sporting de Gijon?

Real is looking for their interest like any other team. Is it the correct way, no it isnt, but the problem is the system (wich EVERY team is part of).

Well it doesnt matter how much money real spends, because Barca is still MUCH BETTER than them. You can buy good players, but you cant buy chemistry.

These signings just make it that much funnier if they lose next year. Although I do hope they destroy barce next year.

Is Eto'o to City and Ibrahimovic to Barce gone through yet?

No, Eto'o will probably go to city as Barca are pursuing Villa.

Now there are rumours that Madrid are willing to give Liverpool the 41Million they want for Xabi Alonso. Why are their midfielders pricetags so high. Mascherano is 50Million and Alonso is 41million. I know Alonso is good and he will make an impact, but 50mill price tag for Mascherano. Thats too high.

Teams know Madrid have what seems to be a limitless budget, so they're trying to fleece them.

btw, looks like Owen to United is a done deal.

Im wondering if Utd really wants to fail this season.

Owen, wow what a big signing. I mean it would be insane if this guy dropped like 20 goals but i just dont see it happening.

Liverpool must be excited at this news.

It's a low risk, high reward move. There's gotta be more on the way though (Fabiano? Huntelaar?)

Javier Mascherano is the best holding midfielder in the EPL.

he's awesome and his contribution in games is invaluable.

if he is worth 50 mill, how much is iniesta worth?
I know he is good, but there is no way barca will give 50 mill up for him.

I have no idea how much he is worth. I don't follow team and player finances closely.

all i'm saying is that he is good. Very good.

I hope Liverpool DON'T sell him or Xabi Alonso. We need them.

Any other Chelsea fans on here?

What's the deal with Benzema heading to Real Madrid? God, I hope that doesn't happen.
