sub par play so far, players with poor first touches and roofing shots

Kiwis came back with a minutes left, first point ever

another draw would make for a pretty stupid day, especially if it's nil-nil.

so the only thing for me that kind of sucks about this world cup is the fact that most of the matches are on while i am at work. When there are matches that i am really interested in i PVR them and watch them later (as i did just now with Ivory Coast and Portugal). This meant that i had to pretty much stay clear of any soccer related internet sites or media in general because i wanted to watch it not knowing the outcome.

Pretty dissapointing game as far as chances went. Ivory coast looked pretty good for the most part and then as soon as Drogba came on they stopped producing any kind of service to their forwards. Drogba didn't look right either. What the hell was that goof up he pulled when he had that incredible chance at the end of the game? Not sure how helpful he is going to be after seeing him tonight. Maybe a few days rest will be beneficial (yikes i can't believe i'm kind of pulling for him as i hate him in club football hahaha).

Anyways, as mentioned earlier. ... i agree that there have been too many ties. Especially involving some dynamic teams. Hopefully that changes as teams will feel more desperate for some wins.

Brazil playing like that is not really a surprise. So much talent left out of in that team.
And still, playing like that against north Korea?

I guess the biggest dissapointment has been Holland. They are the ones that are suposed to play with more offensive flow.

Then again the first game are usually like this. Very tentative. Hopefully from thursday, teams will be more aggresive.

Too much on the line everyone playing for a tie. When the tourney hits the knockout stages it shall get a little better.

I dunno about you but give me a top flight EPL match, Serie A match of CL I'll take it any day of the week over the world cup. Just my feelings is all
