It's so strange, watching a sport where the refs actually make accurate calls.

Wow.

Even though the games have not had a lot of scoring, it's been entertaining as they have mostly been pretty close affairs. Although sometimes frustrating as some all world talents just can't seem to put the ball in the net. France, England, Argentina. I am talking about you. Another frustrating thing about this world cup is reminding me about the pathetic tactics some teams (from certain parts of the world) take in their style of play (i.e. diving and play acting). Fucking Uruguay - and i'll be quite frank and admit it's one thing i won't miss when Thierry Henry retires from the national team. As a French supporter it pisses me off to see my guy doing that.

England USA was a pretty good match. I am not that big on the Heskey selection for England. and Rooney didn't really impress me yesterday either. On the other hand, the Liverpool contingent looked real good IMO. especially Glen Johnson. He's always good when he pushes forward and yesterday he was giving the Americans fits in their end. Gerrard was Gerrard. That's why i love the guy. Hell even Carragher impressed. I've never really supported England, but i gotta say i was pulling for them and i hope they do well.
Korea will win
Are you French? thought you were Polish
Oneywu defended Rooney well and Carragher let Altidore go past him for what would have been a winning goal

I am Polish, but my grandparents were from France and french soccer provided a nice bond between my grandfather and i. Hence my support.

Jozy did make a great run past Carra for sure (full credit to Altidore on that one), but i would say Jamie was solid otherwise. He was effective and steady.

how was it luck? it was a completely legit penalty.

I'd say the second yellow on that Serbian dude was harsh, but as for conceding the goal, SErbia have no one to blame but themselves.

I can't believe how we didn't make Mesut Ozil to play for us
In our elimination group Spain barely beat us in both games with our shitty selection of players, thank to our manager. And he couldn't motivate the team against to weak teams...Turkey should have been in World Cup after being third in Euro 2008!

4-0...

I'm sorry, but to everyone (not necessarily on here) that has been making fun of me and my Germany jersey.

Screw you!

My team has brought it.

Germany is a joy to watch. In the pregame on CBC, an analyst called them 'boring'.

Klose and Podolski really bring their 'A' game for international competition.
