It would have been nice to see that game play out in the 2nd half with the score 2-1 England instead, as it should have been without the incompetent officiating.

Maybe it's for the best, I'm not sure I could take another ENG/ARG match, given the heartache the previous ones have caused.

Full credit to Poland/Turkey team. They are a really good side. I think there are a few German dudes on that squad.

How can the English back line be so slow? Too many meat pies?

ah hell i'm still kind of irked seeing England go down like that. I have never been much of an England 'supporter', but i kind of got on the bandwagon this time around.

One thing is for sure, that country is not heading in a good direction when it comes to football. You can see now that the EPL is not set up in a way that benefits english players or english football. Youth development and academies are being neglected in exchange for money and immediate success and it is costing England. I mean other than Walcott, do arsenal even have another English player in the first team? Problem right there.

Also i don't care that Germany were the better team. Having that goal not allowed hurt England big time and was probably the biggest influencing factor in that game. Fact is, being level 2-2 at the half would have totally changed the game plan (for both teams) and we would havbe in all likelihood had a different outcome. Not to say that Germany wouldn't have won, but we'll never know what should have / could have happened.

I can only imagine what real England supporters (unlike myself) are feeling now.

If replays aren't implemented in some way after this world cup, then.... fkjhfiu3490t34013-^&&^*$@#.

It's frustrating to be sure fancy.... but the Germans just outclassed England. Too many bad mistakes and blown coverages.

The "non-goal" definitely hurt but I can't help but feel that England would have lost that game regardless.

Man... I was planning on flying to London to watch ENG/ARG in a pub with a buddy if that would have happened.

yes they were outclassed, but don't you think a large part of that was because they were in full attack mode and had to leave themselves vulnerable in the back? I do.

I keep thinking that 2-2 at the half would have given a different story.

the non goal didn't just hurt, it killed them.

it was a clinical evisceration of the english defence by the germans. sure, that goal should have been allowed, but i don't see any way that the english had the talent in the back to stop the german attack. that's my observation anyways, as a clearly biased german supporter.

it's funny that this controversy has totally overshadowed the fact that klose was clearly offside on the first german goal.

trane, the second half goals all came off a counter attack / fast break, if you will. and that was influenced by england sending their players foward as they were playing from behind.

at 2-2, no way england would have left themselves as vulnerable at the back. no way.

Sure they probably would have lost the game.... it's just another case of how bad officiating has 'ruined' a game.

Chile can't do much. Brazil's defence is solid and Kaka will be back. The upset is coming from Japan

Nah the slow speed of the English Centre backs created the illusion that Klose was offside. No chance he was offside

for me, it was the fact that he was standing a few feet behind them when neuer struck the ball.

Brazil won 3-0..It was just too easy for them, Chile couldn't be factor all game long..

Somehow there is something with Brazil team that bothers me, I don't know what it is but I don't enjoy watching them as much as Germany,Spain, and Argentina..
