He was looking at the ball which was the opposite direction. Obviously the contact was unintentional. So initially the ref appeared smart as he played the advantage. Spain scores.... great. Good for them... And the ref should have left it at that.

Play to the advantage and if nothing comes of it, then stop the play and give the free kick. No card was necessary at all. I was fine with him calling the foul, but the card should have absolutely, 100% stayed in his pocket.
Torres stayed down like he was hit with an axe. Pansy-ass play-acting pays off again. It is a farce.

Torres thing was not a flop, it was an "accident foul". The guy from chile dindnt even realize he had tripped him. Now the way Torres stood on the floor. That was some pathetic acting.

I think Spain would've won either way. They were up 2-0 at that point

Uruguay-Korea has been a fantastic game, IMO..

Both teams had their moments and chances and both teams played very well..

I guess Suarez made a statement today that he is a top player and most probably will sign one of the big clubs..What a fantastic goal that was..

Yeah, URU-KOR was a great match to watch. Both teams played very well.... although each of the keepers made a huge mistake to allow goals.

Full marks to Uruguay, they were deserving.

man korean had some open chances that they sot straight at the goalie..

but Uruguay killed it when they went on offence, if they didn't take away the pressure while they were up they coulda been up more

South American football has it's momentum I guess..5 for 5 in the round of 16..

It looks like at least 3 will play in the quarter finals..

People are bashing European football and complaing how badly they underachieved.I don't agree with that statement the reamining 6 countries are playing some good football IMO..Especially, Germany and Spain..
