just kind of dissapointing to see the African countries not do so well.

I was thinking about this yesterday and i think this is very much a different world cup for them (obviously) and the team are having a hard time with this new 'pressure.' Think about it, usually African teams fly under the radar to an extent and don't have any high expectations or pressure to deal with. This time around it's different. I'm sure they themselves see this tournament as different and special and even if the 'experts' aren't predicting African success, the teams will certainly put the pressure on themselves to succeed in light of the setting. IMO that mentality is undoubtedly there and it's probably a curve ball that the teams weren't expecting. It's a lot of pressure if you think about it.

I dunno Fancy, I think Ghana is doing alright and still have a good shot of qualifying for the next round.

you're right.

I guess Camaroon was a bit of a let down. And you could see the players were just devastated after that game. I felt bad for them.

South Africa was never much to be considered, and Ivory Coast are feeling the effects of being placed in that group. and Algeria is just meh.

Although now, it really sucks that Ghana are without their best player.

Take a look at Ghana and then make assumptions.

Spain has shot like 60 times in two games and only scored twice. We are playing pretty good but missing so many chances worries me against the good teams. Must win against Chile.

^^^

I can't believe Villa mised that PK. Torres has got to get his touch back too.

Also, Bel' I have a question. During the last euro cup, there were these two awesome players that came of the bench, Ruben de la Red and Danny Guiza. What happened to them?

There was a heart condition detected in De La Red that will probably make him retire. Guiza is simply not playing well enough. Still, those guys at their best havent been better than the players that are there right now.

I keep thinking of Steve Nash. No wonder he ended up playing basketball.

O that sucks for De La Red. Guiza played sick that year he scored 3 goals in 3 games coming of the bench that time. W/e he is pretty young if I can remember correctly
