Iran players need to control their emotions, or one of them is going to get a red card soon

all I can be is proud of them. what heart. what character. Both goalies played incredibly, with the best save going to argentina's goalie on Dejagah's header. Could easily have been 1-0 Iran in the end. They've shown to be capable to choke out even the best offensive teams.

Now Bosnia and Nigeria need to tie, or bosnia win, or nigeria win. In all those scenarios, Iran can make it with a win against Bosnia, if Argentina gets the win against Nigeria. I just hope they don't put in a lackluster performance against Nigeria. With that in mind, I actually prefer Bosnia to win tonight, making it:

arg 6
bosnia 3
iran 1
nigeria 1

then say nigeria draws argentina, and we beat bosnia, it would go to goal differential for the second spot.

The above scenario is of course they don't tie. I prefer a tie over all else, showing this after tonight:

arg 6
Nigeria 2
bos 1
Iran 1

then beat bosnia, and hope argentina doesn`t play their deep bench against nigeria.

group is still wide open. Most open of the WC, wouldn`t you say?

That was a great game. Heartbreaking loss but no shame losing by 1-0 to a team with the best attacking talent. It was a great goal. Iran executed their gameplan to a tee.

A tie for Bosnia vs. Nigeria would be best for Iran.

I kind of want/think Germany can win it all. They're really due for winning a major tourney this century.

2002 - lose World Cup in the finals to Brazil
2004 - crash out in group stages of the Euro Cup.
2006 - lose in World Cup semi's to Italia, get 3rd place
2008 - lose in Euro Cup final to Spain :mattyd:
2010 - lose in World Cup semi-final to Spain :mattyd: and then get 3rd place
2012 - lose in Euro Cup semi-final to Italia

Very consistent and steady side.

loving that italy, portugal and england are all getting their asses handed to them. i "hate" all of those teams. nice to see spain get bounced too, although i have always loved watching them play. this has been a really fun wc to watch for me.

I'm guessing that in the moment he's not thinking straight.

The worst italian mentality ever seen in a world cup in years + worst italian coach ever had in years (our road through Euro 2012 was due to our players, not very much due to Prandelli) + worst referees ever met since Byron Moreno in 2002 => elimination

At least, along with Prandelli's resignation, I hope something will change in our soccer sistem.

Did Luis Suarez bite Giorgio Chiellini? - FIFA World Cup 2014 - CBC

The hype for Suarez' non-disqualification pervades me.
