I'm not trying to pick on anyone, this is just an example. My mother is dutch so I paid most of my attention to that group. Australia has a world ranking of 60 something?

It must blow to be a higher ranked team but not manage to win the right qualifying games to get in the WC just to see a side you could beat in there.

Anyways rant over, given my dutch origins I am very pleased with today's game!

lol another goal while I typed!

Well ok. That'll do i suppose. It'd still be nice to see Spain get it together a bit.

Damn spain getting btfo. As a spain supporter this game sucked. I feel like the Deigo Costa shit might've screwed with them, but this didn't seem like the same team as years past. No ball domination, not great passing either, hopefully that changes next game

do goals for/against matter in WC?
If so, Chiles scoring pace is unsettling

Columbia playing quite well. Greece just don't have anything in the final third.

Thinking about wearing my Klose shirt just to piss of my partugese neighbours

is he even going to play? I thought I heard someone talking about how he was only two goals short of the record for career wc, so I think he is on the roster atleast

He should start. Germany always runs a one striker formation. Klose played a lot of qualifiers so the debut game should be no different.

Otherwise podolski gets the nod

It's crazy how many world cups the dude has played and the amount of goals he's scored, it's sucks that I'm a big fan of the old ronaldo whose record he's challenging. But if he gets there, all for him.

Germany needs to crush dem Portuguese douchebags, I'm still bitter from them kicking out zlatan

All that without falcao

I felt that they were the most underrated team going into the tourney
