fresh n' spicy 12-29-2010 11:14 AM

of course its going to be the leafs even though i never watch them and i dont give a fuck about hockey u cant deny everyone else would be going crazy if that happened...

Claudius 12-29-2010 11:18 AM

Even if it's just making the playoffs and being first in the regular season?

a 4 game win streak sent this town into a frenzy at the first of the year...can't imagine what it would be like if they ended up in 1st
no matter, cause it's not happening anytime soon ;)

Hmmm.... who was the bigger attraction at the beginning of 2000?

The Leafs or the Raptors with VC?

VC was the reason i started watching the raptors and for me he was the bigger attraction but again lots of puckheads who could care less about basketball so its still the leafs and remember the leafs were a playoff team back then i think.

i think there is actually very little interest in baseball in TO these days...attendance numbers don't lie...and until MLB comes out of the dark ages and changes the playoff format, i can't see it improving
i also hear (on a regular basis) on radio shows from people who are much more "in the know" than i am that if the Raptors don't start winning soon then basketball just might not be in TO in another 10 years

Take a look @ the ratings for the Blue Jays. They were impressive.

Also, this news of basketball not being in Toronto for another 10 years is news to me....basketball seems to be pretty popular amongst the 13-20 y.o. demographic.

Take a look @ merchandise sales and even video game sales for nba 2k11.
