JARDINE!!!!!
i've been a Jardine fan for a long time... heres hopping he puts Rampage down with KO punch to the head!

Raptorman 03-06-2009 04:25 PM

Jardine has a more complete game. Jackson has the bigger haymaker.

Keith the Mean all the way!!

I just invited my hommies. UFC party!

Krazy Ivan 03-06-2009 04:26 PM

Jardine is scrappy and he will be a difficult opponent but I expect Rampage to win.

Windex 03-06-2009 04:26 PM

dont Jardine and Jackson train in the
same camp? I saw them work with St. Piere
for the Penn fight

I got Jackson for this fight

YES!

For some reason, I hate Rampage Jackson. Nothin against the guy, I think he's a beast and very entertaining. He "gets it" when it comes to MMA shows, not very many fighters do. Unfortunately there's just something about that makes me want him to get KO'd a la Matt Lindland at the last affliction show.

I'll be cheering for Jardine hard even though I think he'll get destroyed. I want Machida to get that title shot ASAP, hopefully it'll happen at UFC 100. So far the GSP - Alves fight is the biggest match on the card but Dana White said that there will be another championship bout which should be the main event.

Other than that, I'm looking for my man Shane Carwin to KO that mope Gonzaga as fast as possible.

oooooh, i love Machida!!!

i totally agree with you on the Rampage thing... theres just something about him that i just dont like. i think its the fact tht he's so big and bad, that i'd love to see his face get pummled and KO'd... it would be such a joy to watch.
i hope Jardine can get lucky and do it... but he's gonna have to come out swingin' with no fear.... which is probably going to be a mistake.

Krazy Ivan 03-06-2009 04:37 PM

Jacksons' issues are all mental... when he is 'on' he is great but when he is not he can be beat easily... after all the crap that happened to him in the last year I am not sure in what frame of the mind he is.

Ugo Ferst 03-06-2009 04:44 PM

Jardine is gonna get stomped by the hardest hitter in the game, lights out, just like when he fought Wandy. It doesnt make sense that Page destroys Wandy and then has to fight a guy Wandy destroyed the fight before that one....

No they dont train in the same camp, Jardine trains with Rashad Evans and GSP with Team Jackson (not Rampage Jackson, did you think Rashad was Rampage?? Not that many black dudes in UFC :P) and Rampage trains with the wolfs lair in England.

If you look at the UFC fights, Machica hasnt fought anybody even near the top 5 in the division, his fans need to back down and he needs to get a big win over a top 5 guy. He is the most boring fighter anyways.

Jardine has stated many times he will not fight Rashad Evans under any circumstances since they are such good friends, strange twist if an upset does happen, dont expect Jardine in the title picture unless Rashad gets dethrowned.

while that Rampage/Wanderlei fight was a total feast for KO lovers, the puch was pure luck. period.
his head was down he just swung as hard as he could and cuaght silva right in the face. if that punch missed, it coulve been a different story altogether.

but thats what UFC and sports in general is all about... the unpredictable. we cant speculate anymore about it because it was a major KO victory for rampage... but he didnt outskill him or destroy him whatsoever, he got lucky with a haymaker.

who knows, maybe Jardine will get lucky too.

i love big fights... anything can happen.

Windex 03-06-2009 04:50 PM

I got them mixed up there for a sec
thanx for clearing it up

TORaptor4Ever 03-06-2009 04:51 PM

Rampage. I doubt it goes past the 1st round.

Krazy Ivan 03-06-2009 04:51 PM

If Rampage wins he'll get a title shot and if he loses Machida will get it.

Ugo Ferst 03-06-2009 04:54 PM

lies, if you study boxing and footwork you could see Page had Wandy totally outclassed for the limited time they were standing, Wandy wasnt his usual run and and go nuts self because Pages stand up in boxing format is one of the best in the game, while Wandy was hanging his hands low, Page knew exactly what he was doing and it was far from luck imo, there is a reason Wandy had been KO'd badly in 3 of his last 5 fights, and one of the non KOs was a crazy fight with Liddell. You add Page's boxing skill + the fact he might be the hardest hitter in the entire world, you get ppl like Wandy twitching.

Here is you boy Jardines future...... again

Depends what you like.

I find Machida quite exciting actually...We can call him the San Antonio Spurs of the MMA world. Not always pretty but you always have to respect the skill. As for him having to fight a top 5 guy in the division, that shouldn't be a problem...hopefully if Rampage loses, Lyoto will get to handle Rashad and win that title right away. It's not always about who you beat, but how you beat them.

Plus, him holding victories over Thiago, BJ, Tito...Franklin too, that dudes only been knocked out twice, both times by Anderson. Not that bad...And he's only getting better.

I don't think that Machida was ever knocked out... dude is 14 and 0.

Agreed.

Wanderlei was only fearsome because he fought "tomato cans" 80% of the time in Pride.

Every single time that he's been put in the ring with a world-class fighter he's been handed his ass. He has one of the worst defenses and chins in MMA. If you're not afraid and you take the fight to him he's all but beaten.

Snooch 03-07-2009 11:11 AM

Jardine has such an odd style to the way he fights and Rampage has such a tendancy to slack off that it could be a very entertaining fight.

I like Jarding counterattacking like in his fight against Forrest and Iceman as opposed to going on the offensive like durring Wanderlei and Alexander.
Rampage is gonna attack hard and he will gas out. Jardine just needs to counter till rampage gets a little gasses then go for it.

Should be a real good fight either way.

Ugo Ferst 03-07-2009 01:30 PM

Jardine has some of the best leg kicks in the world, and everybody saw how Forrest owned Page with leg kicks, but even JArdine said himself recently, that since Page is with a "real" camp now (Wolfs Lair, he used to just have one private trainer, not a camp) he is even sure that Page will have an answer for the leg kicks, so he is planning to mix it up, i will give you that he is so awkward it's tough to game plan for him, but he can be KO'd and has a somewhat suspect chin.

Nites 03-07-2009 04:06 PM

Jardine will keep up standing. However, Jackson will probably hit him with a hay maker and then take it to the ground and win hitting hammer fists by TKO.
