Listen, you dont have to say your a moron, but saying Penn would have a remote chance in hell to beat Fedor is honestly one of the bigget jokes ive heard in my life, even online, where ppl say ridiculous stuff all the time.

GSP was a 1.5 to 1 fav for a reason.

Penn top 3 MW?? lol, he couldnt even beat Jon Fitch, book that shit!!! Stick to the LW with all your crazy fans that think you are a demi-god because you talk so much shit. Got your ass handed to you and seemed like you basically gave up. Penn said GSP has no heart?? lol what a joke. Go away with your WWE hyping of a fight and your alien ear, and plz take all your fanboys that overrate you with you!!!

Sorry, nothing personal, but Penn would be competitive with Fedor??? LOL you do realize Fedor wouldnt just beat him, he would end his career!!!

As for GSP being number 2, its debatable, like i said earlier, he will beatdown Alves then hopefully a superfight with Anderson Silva, if somehow GSP beat him (and i dont think he can/will), he will be number 1, when he loses, he will be number 3. Fedor is still on top, he hasnt lost and his resume is a who's who.....

again, nothing personal, but it's so funny, Penn would be competitve against Fedor lol

I agree Jon Jones was impressive, im not ready to annoit him anything yet, Bonner is a tough guy for sure, hardly top notch and coming off an injury and hasnt fought in 15 months.

Dana said if Machida wins he gets a title shot, Rampage is fighting JArdine nexT (god that makes no sense, he destroyed Silva, who destroyed Jardine even worse, why fight a guy who got beatdown by the guy you just beatdown??).

That being said, im not a huge fan of Machida and i predict Rashard with the nipple twisting ownage!!

Your post here absolutely ignores GSP, and jumps right to Rampage and Silva, and even slags Cote saying he couldn't beat Penn. I am really surprised.

I watched a lot of Penn, I know he's a good fighter, but honestly, he fought GSP when he was an inexperienced whelp. And lost. Years later, GSP has turned himself into a machine, and you still discounted he skill. Penn stood in that Ring, before th efigt, and you copuld se fear in his eyes, he was nervous, and he was unsure. During the fight, his expression was immediately identical to Hughes in the last GSP Hughes fight, dispair. Not only could you see how confused he was, you could see that he knew he had no chance.

I think it's easy to get caught up in the hype, the big talk, and all of that, but Penn realistically hasn't really shown he could destroy the big boys, and most of his big victories were against smaller guys. Whereas GSP has beaten everyone, and his losses, were as a result of distinct mistakes you can point at.

Personally, I was 100% that he was gonna win, no doubt. And if Cote got Penn, it would be the same result, hands down. Penn can dominate hi sdicision... and even that is in question now, but he can't come up and dominate the bigger guys, he isn't big enough, an dhe isn't dedicated enough, and to be honest, for all his talk, he isn't bad enough.

GSP said it best after the fight, and he made his CDN fans proud when he said;

" I'm not one for trash talk, I'm not one to trash talk my opponent, I like to do my talking in the ring, and thats what I did". The kid is a professional. He has raised th bar in the UFC, and along with Silva, he is raising the image of the sport.

There's your real fight of the century, Silva and GSP. And that one.... I have no idea, but I am gonna do what ya do, and thats lean towards your guy. Silva is so precise, and so fast. Gsp is talented, and powerful, and extremely prepared fopr his fights now, prepared for what he is facing. What a match that would be. And neither guy would be talking shit in the media, all business, the way it should be.
Silva was on sportsnet and he basically said he sees no threat from either GSP or Penn as that serious, i was surprised he said that, but honestly... i agree GSP was using his reach nicely to keep Penn on the outside, he wont have a reach advantage vs Silva, in fact, he will have basically the same disadvantage BJ couldnt seem to overcome. Shooting at Silva is very dangerous, and i think GSP only chance would be to ground and pound Silva, but he would likely catch a knee coming in. Im not saying GSP has no shot, he is a machine. But i really cant see it happening.

Make it happen Dana, EVERYBODY wants to see this.

http://www.cagepotato.com/bj-penns-c...between-rounds

B.J. Penn's camp has filed a formal complaint with the Nevada State Athletic Commission over Vaseline that was allegedly rubbed on Georges St. Pierre's back between rounds one and two. UFC president Dana White said at the post-fight press conference that he was aware of the complaint, and said he personally witnessed members of the commission take the Vaseline away from GSP's camp and rebuke them in the Octagon between rounds.

"I saw the commission jump up there and flipping out," said Dana White. They said one of the guys was rubbing Vaseline on Georges' back in between rounds. It was one and two, I think."

"The guys from the athletic commission went up there and started screaming at them. Knocked the Vaseline and kicked the Vaseline out of the Octagon."

White added that "some Vaseline on a guy's back didn't change the outcome of that fight, but you don't do it," and said the blame should fall on the cornerman responsible and not GSP.

"If a guy was intentionally putting Vaseline on a guy's back, he should never corner a mixed martial arts fight again."

As for what becomes of the complaint now, White said it's out of his hands.

"Who knows. That's up to the commission."

What a bitch BJ is... seriously, i hope Kenflo opens you up with his razor elbows, you shit talking, excuse giving, arrogant moron.

BJ was just sleepwalking in there for the entire fight after round 1.

Although it is not acceptable to put vasoline on a fighters back, I don't think this was a ncessary move for the Penn camp. Just trying to deflect the attention away from BJ's flop of a performance.

But GSP though, wow that guy looks good. Holding 2 wins over BJ, 2 over Hughes, Sherk, Karo, Kos, Fitch, Trigg, Miller...He's building one of the most impressive records of all time considering who he's faced. Apparently, he weighed around 186 when he stepped into the octagon last night...it'll be interesting to see what happens after he makes quick work of Alves.

I saw the fight again and GSP's trainer touched his neck after using the Vaseline on his face then after the first round but the commission guy/guy in red suit jacket wiped off GSP's back after the 2nd and 3rd round and he took the Vaseline away.
GSP took BJ down in every round so the Vaseline was not a factor

I'd really love to see GSP face off against Gegard Mousasi.

That would be fireworks!

There's not much I can say bro...

I had very high hopes for BJ to take this fight as a career maker. It would have undoubtedly marked him as one of the best ever [if he wasn't already]. I can't say I'm not upset, I was hoping to watch one of the best fights ever, but all we got was an absolute pounding. Life goes on.

I understand his whole shit-talking regimen. It's good to build fights and he was probably encouraged to do so, just sucks when you lose because you look like a complete mope...

Honestly, i think alot of it is just how BJ is. Shit talking pumps up fans abit, but doesnt really bring new fans. If ppl cant get excited for two of the top five pound for pound fighters alive today, then they cant get pumped for anything. GSP vs Silva will be MASSIVE and i bet neither will be anywhere close to as disrespectful as BJ was and it will be a bigger draw.

Whenever that happens...it'll be the biggest fight of all time...[sorta like this fight was supposed to be]

It'll definitely be billed as two of the best, most respectful fighters going toe to toe. If GSP trains like he did for this one, he should have a very good chance against Anderson.

Trump will fail in Affliction just like he failed in creating a wrestling league to compete with the WWE and his Atlantic City casinos.
I would have to think that GSP is the highest now, he and Silva.

they are the face of the franchise now.

All Pro.

The thing with GSP is that he's incredibly prepared and rounded. I think it's amazing that each guy he faces, he sets a game plan, and executes it.

Outstanding.

As for the vasoline, I just watched it all as I DL'd it. Penn's guy did the exact same thing, and nobody said a thing, he totally slipped a little grease in there. I think that stuff will all blow over in the morning when Penn watches the tape and thinks to himself, "holy monkey, that guy just kicked my ass, I am a little bitch." (anyone who saw the previews will get the joke, those were Penns famous last words about George)
