Real Xmas is on the 27th!!

UFC BABY!!! BEST CARD EVER!! IM TOO HYPED!!!

Nog > Mir

Rampage > Wanderlei

Rashard > Forrest

Bet with me, make $

Snooch 12-24-2008 04:40 PM

Who do you think between Forrest and Rashard?

I think Rashard is gonna stop this fight before the end of the second......guys been doing nothing but get better and better every single fight.

10gizzle 12-24-2008 07:01 PM

Not the best card ever by a long shot.

It's a 3 fight card...the rest is an aberration to MMA fans.

CB Dolloway vs Mike Masenzio? Why the fuck is this fight on the main card? The least they could've done was put Okami - Lister on there, but even then, why the fuck is Yushin Okami, who was poised for a title shot before he got hurt, facing Dean Lister?

The undercard is littered with poor fighters who shouldn't be employed by the UFC. [I'm looking at you, Dan Evensen]

You want MMA destruction?

Check out the K-1 Dynamite New Year's Show...amazing card.

Joachim Hansen - Gesias Calvancante
Eddie Alvarez - Shinya Aoki

That's 4 of the top 5 lightweights on the planet fighting on the same card. Unbelievable action.

Windex 12-25-2008 02:05 AM

Dana White is talking about bringing a future event to the Skydome once they lift the ban in Ontario.:dancing:

UFC 97 is going to be in Montreal with a Anderson Silva vs. Thales Leites match already on the card

UFC 92 should be good
Evans>Griffin
Nog>Mir
Jackson>Silva

yea, i guess having an event with 3 bouts that would be main events IN ANY ORGANIZATION, nevermind the best one, featuring 6 guys all ranked in the top 10 in their divisions worldwide is an utter disappointment, have fun with the japanese card ;) the rest of the world will be watching UFC.

10gizzle 12-25-2008 03:09 PM

lol...

you're such a little UFC fanboy.

it's 3 good matches...UFC should be having good matches from the top to the bottom on their cards. Go look at any old PRIDE FC card and you'll see what I mean. The rest of the world can enjoy UFC's absolutely senseless booking and matchmaking. I enjoy the cards from WEC, Sengoku, DREAM and Affliction MUCH more...All of which have exciting show coming up in the next little while.

N64 12-25-2008 03:14 PM

I'm not a big UFC guy but my cousin is and i think he ordered it so I'll be there watching it :yeah:

Yep. I think that I'm actually going to meet up with Saucer (and possibly Gizz?) to watch this one.

Gizz.... how is Crocop fighting somewhere else? I though he had a multifight contract with UFC?

I LOVE Sakuraba... haven't seen him in ages.

Forrest will beat Rashad.

TORaptor4Ever 12-28-2008 11:12 AM

Damn.... I'll be the first to say that I am friggin' IMPRESSED with Rashad Evans. His stand up is amazing. He looks like a pro kickboxer! I can't believe that he dummied Forrest like that.

Rampage makes Wanderlei his bitch with a 1st round KO! :yeah:

But in the most disappointing performance of the night Nog gets TKO'd by Mir.... :sigh: He honestly just didn't look like he wanted to fight... never seen him so passive. And the crazy thing is Mir said in the post-fight interview that he didn't expect to win and that he was terrified as soon as he stepped into the cage.

Pretty entertaining though!

Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans

part 1

part 2

part 3

Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir

part 1

part 2

Rampage Jackson vs Wanderlei Silva

Ugo Ferst 12-28-2008 02:39 PM

LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD seeing Silva kiss the canvas, have Rampage howling while Silva is KO'd in the background as my new laptop background, i made $700 betting on fights last night, mostly because after i won the rampage bet, the guy offered me 4 to 1 on Mir, i didnt really think Mir was going to win, but i couldnt resist those odds, ppl doubted him like he's some bum, he's far from that.

10gizzle 12-28-2008 02:43 PM

Good night of fights.

Some huge upsets, reminiscent of the most recent WEC show where Uriah Faber, Jens Pulver and Paulo Filho all succumbed to their opponents.

I was quite dissapointed with Wanderlei considering he should've had a specific gameplan as a counterattacker. He exposed himself by being too aggressive and he got knocked out very similarly to how Chuck got knocked by Rashad. Looks like Rampage will be facing Rashad for the belt next.

Mir just put on a sterling performance. He worked Nog over completely, the guy looked like he lost a step, just looked disinterested. Not to mention he was eating a ton of shots. Mir's uppercut looked tremendous and he was just great. Great storyline, this guy back from a near career ending injury to beat one of his idols, setting up a rematch with Brock...wicked shit.

TORAP, Crocop was let go after his last loss in the UFC and has since moved on back to Japan fighting with DREAM and K-1. He expressed interest in returning to the UFC in the future after he probably gets a few wins [and his confidence back].

Ugo Ferst 12-28-2008 02:46 PM

CroCop was one of the most exciting fighters ever for a time, but i think that time is done.

Tommy2Tymes 12-28-2008 10:26 PM

I cant wait for the K1 card. Hari vs. Overeem is going to be wicked nice. and i cant say enough good things about aoki. that guy is a fucking stud. and then the hansen-jayz fight, oh man. sakurabas fighting again.....mark hunt......mousasi......man, there is so much amazing talent outside the UFC that the TUF generation doesnt even know about

Nice to see another quality MMA fan.

DREAM, K-1 and Sengoku are putting on some really great matches...
It's about time the UFC beefs up their divisions with some credible stars who can actually be considered the best in the world. Cut out all of the fucking mopes like Mike Wessel and Dean Lister. Fucking trash.
