No its not common ...actually its unheard off. And lets never compare boxing to MMA please. Kthxbye.

And UFC 91 was one of the most exciting and action filled events in a long long time. Top to bottom every fight was amazing.

They've really created an exciting product. I'm just worried that they'll manipulate it and gear it towards what sells. That's all fine and dandy, but that's how wrestling became "pro wrestling". All those matches way back then were shoots.

Thats just the thing that separates the UFC from the rest of the organization. They put on the best fights ...with very unpredictable outcomes. They dont protect their superstars or put them up against tomato cans like a lot of other organizations (i.e. elitexc)

People were forced to eat that Kimbo Slice garbage, when anyone with any knowledge knew he wasnt a legit MMA stud, and he was getting handpicked chumps for opponents.
Why? Because the elite xc promoter was a boxing promoter for most of his life.

Boxing is trash and it will die a slow death because of shit like that.

UFC on the other hand threw Lesnar to the wolves. First fight is against a former champ. Second fight against a very good heavyweight who has fought and beat some of the best HW on the planet. Third fight against a 3time UFC HW champ. 4th fight will be either against Mir or Nogueira who are or were both champs as well and will likely beat LEsnar again cause they are nightmare matchups for wrestlers. They are JJ fighters ... who are the wresting kryptonite.

Angle is not the same...he's had a lot of wear and tear on his body because of the WWE. But Angle in his prime v. Lesnar in his prime would have been one helluva match, no matter if it's UFC or WWE.

Now Lesnar has to fight Fedor from Affliction. That would be a good fight.

Fedor would tear him a new one. However; everyone knows Lesnar will face the winner of the Mir / Nogueira fight. Personally I'd take Nogueira to win that fight but you never know.

Brock is pure power with no skill. The scary thing is if he can go on a winning streak for a bit he can brush up on his skills and be an animal. I personally don't like the guy so I'll be cheering agaisnt him

Also UFC 92 = SICKEST UFC of the year

Light Heavyweight Championship bout: Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans
Interim Heavyweight Championship bout: Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir
Light Heavyweight bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva
Middleweight bout: C.B. Dollaway vs. Mike Massenzio
Heavyweight bout: Cheick Kongo vs. Mostapha Al-turk

Preliminary card
Middleweight bout: Yushin Okami vs. Dean Lister
Heavyweight bout: Antoni Hardonk vs. Mark Burch
Light Heavyweight bout: Matt Hamill vs. Reese Andy
Welterweight bout: Brad Blackburn vs. Ryo Chonan
Heavyweight bout: Dan Evensen vs. Pat Barry

C'mon now. I know you know that's complete BS.

Brock has plenty of skill for a dude just coming out of his 4th fight...considering two of those opponents were former champions and one has fought almost every beast in the division...give the guy some credit. Excellent wrestler [who hasn't even STARTED showing his true skills] and a striker with power second to none. Brock came out with more patience this fight, that's the key for him if he can pace himself and pick a guy apart slowly he'll be hard to beat.

I'm saying Brock is gonna knock Nogeira out similarly to how he did to Couture. Nogueira always takes a beating only to come back and tap out his opponent. The beating Lesnar will administer will give him no chance to try any of that shit.

the Randy / Lesnar fight was Randy showing his Greco Roman skill and Brock just show sheer power. He has no finesse in his game its all power and his legs are two sticks. I don't think I'm going too far that if Randy was a little strong that fight could have been a completely different outcome. Its a shame that randy didn't fight in a year and is now 45 years old and Mir just came back from a fatal car accident. Brock doesn't have the skill Mir even has. Mir is a BJJ and has a reconstructed leg and still found Brock to slip. Crazyhorse is a jobber for life that has never held a belt of any color in pride or UFC. I'll give him some cred for beating cotoure but this guys till hasn't shown amazing skilli. The most skillful thing I saw him do is do that NFL DE style move on couture in the middle of the first round. He is a Mammoth power with no ground skill. You say he is a wrestler and yes he is but BJJ guys just own on the ground in MMA.

I just wish UFC had the balls to give Fedor some dough so Lesnar could go gently in that goodnight

Nogueira will beat Brock. Bet on it. Think that big guys scare him? Go to Youtube and watch Nog. fight 350 lb. muscle monster Bob Sapp.

He'll make Brock tap.

UFC 92 looks SICK.

Hahaha, don't worry. I know all about Nogueira, trust me.

Bob Sapp is the biggest mope in the world. Brock Lesnar would finish him within 2 minutes of the opening bell. It's a shame people think Lesnar is just another big, strong dude. He's gonna prove alot of people wrong. Nog gets knocked for the count in the first 2 rounds.

I have so much more respect for Frank Mir now. To be able to come back to life from something like that, is really something to be admired.

Lesnar pockets $450K for win

Brock Lesnar got the coveted belt, but was also a big winner in the pocket book Saturday.

The UFC's new heavyweight champion took home US$450,000 of the $1,118,000 total purse from UFC 91, according to figures released by the Nevada State Athletic Committee on Monday.

In the main event loss at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Randy (The Natural) Couture won $250,000. That was the same base salary earned by Lesnar, who received a $200,000 win bonus.

I'm waiting for UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn 2

Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St.-Pierre vs. BJ Penn
Light Heavyweight bout: Lyoto Machida vs. Thiago Silva
Welterweight bout: Karo Parisyan vs. Dong Hyun Kim
Light Heavyweight bout: Stephan Bonnar vs. Jon Jones
Lightweight bout: Thiago Tavares vs. Manvel Gamburyan
Welterweight bout: Matt Arroyo vs. Dan Cramer
Heavyweight bout: Jake O'Brien vs. Christian Wellisch

I heard Georges St.Pierre and BJ Penn will be in Toronto today to promote the event

I said Lesnar would be UFC Champ within 2 years of joining, he is way ahead of schedule, he is the truth, his camp is the truth, he is learning VERY fast. You cant teach his size and speed, once he catches up skill wise to his natural physical gifts, he will be a force, it will take about 2 more years for this to happen, he might lose along the way (and of course he would lose to Fedor ATM, anyone in the world would), but mark my words, he will go down in history as one of the greatest HWs ever if he wants it.

Let me add, the Mir/Nog card is much better then the GSP one.... also, GSP will CRUSH Penn this time, Penn needs to step down and lose his belt to Kflo.

UFC. Angle's been yapping about wanting to face Brock. I know his body's all screwy, what with the atrophied arm, etc, but he's also extremely insane and very much off his rocker these days, so it would be a fascinatin' fight.
