Serena got bounced at the French in the first round.

It was an insane match. I suggest watching it if they show it tonight, which would be likely I would think.

Still can't believe he lost.... wow. Apparently that Czech kid just played out of his mind in the 5th set. Something like 20 winners.

Roger had to come back from 2 sets down today as well! Almost thought he was going to meet the same fate! Outlasted his opponent though and crushed him 6-1 in the 5th.

Roger Federer is actually the best. One of my favourite athletes ever.

I really hope he destroys Murray. Like properly destroys him. I wonder how much longer he can keep up playing at these levels?

I want Fed to win pretty badly (so that he can add another slam and regain the #1 ranking) but I won't be crestfallen if he loses to Murray. It'll be a great story for a guy from the UK to win and Murray probably deserves a title by now.

Nice to see Fed get it done. Murray had his chances, but would have needed a good bit of luck yet. Once his serve left him in the third set he had too big of a hole to dig out of, and that just isn't going to happen against Roger.

It still blows me away to think of the level the game is at. Murray is consistently better than any opponent Sampras faced, and he pretty much gets overlooked. And every finals ends up with players emotionally cooked like never before. It's just damn hard and requires so much fight and brilliance to win a major.

It'll be interesting to see if anything opens up for Murray now. Rafa and Novak have had a lot of wear and tear, and Roger might be near the end. Looking a year down the road he might have a lot more chances.

Rumours of Fed's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Absolutely masterful today. Vintage Fed. And now #1 again!

I feel for Murray though... had a lump in my throat during his post-match speech.

Sasha Vujac and Maria Sharapova are no longer engaged.

"It's been since the end of spring," Sharapova said. "I was waiting for someone to actually ask me that question.

"I have never really been the person to announce things. I never announced when we were together or never announced we were engaged. I never have in any of my previous relationships as well."

Vujacic signed a one-year deal with Anadolu Efes of Turkey in 2011.

"It was a really nice period of time for both of us, but our career schedules just made it extremely difficult to see each other with the traveling and especially his career move to Turkey. But we have a tremendous amount of respect for each other. I still would love to call him as a friend. We spent really great years together."

Wawrinka took Novak to the brink. Fought through a ten minute game, five hours into the match, to just lose 13-11 in the fifth. Djokovic said he deserved to win equally. 2am in Melbourne.
