Damn. Missed the Hewitt/Raonic match.

Good for Hewitt though. Nice story to see him moving on.

GOTTA see him and Novak.

Unbelieveable.

So here I was staying up and watching some Aussie Open (since I don't have to work tomorrow) and I'm all psyched to watch the Fed/Tomic match scheduled to start @ 3AM. At 2:59AM they stop coverage on TSN (to air Sportcentre) and move it over to TSN2.

Can't even watch a full grand slam on ONE damn channel?

Seriously. Fuck Rogers.

Well, Fed breezed through Tomic and will face Novak next round. Awesome!

Anyone catch the end of the Berdych match? He didn't shake Almagro's hand after Almagro accidentally hit him with the ball. The crowd booed him off the court lol. And next match he faces Rafa who's always a crowd favourite. I don't envy him.

Heck of a comeback by Cjlisters against Li Na too.

Dang.. no one watching this anymore or what?

Woke up early this morning to see the Rafa/Berdych match. Credit to Berdych... he made Rafa work... but the guy is still too good.

I can't wait for Rafa/Roger in the semis on Thurs. (3:30AM). Roger is playing amazing right now and you know that he'll be looking for revenge since Rafa beat him last time they met at this open. He made Del Potro (who was playing very well) look silly.

On the women's side I think that it's Cjlisters' to lose.

Surely you're going to watch Roger/Rafa though? Even though it's the semis? Could be the best match of the tourney.

Watched Rafa this afternoon. Beautiful forehand winners - something that's been missing fom his arsenal lately. Roger is in big trouble if Nadal can use that kind of hard court power game. Should be good.

Just finished watching the rivals. Damn it's fun. Rafa was tight an awful lot. This match might have meant more to him than the championship. He needs to take advantage of his chances a little better in the finals.

Its amazing how fast greatest leaves us. Fed is just past it. Still a great player but just can't smoke them all anymore

I anointed Nadal as greatest a while ago. I'm not sure if that is the case anymore. He's going to have to have something of a breakthrough against Djokovic, or it's going to feel like another one is ready to take the crown. Ultimately though, it's just such a great time to see greats going at each other like never before.

Ya this reminds me of the old days of tennis when their were so many gunners. Personally I never would think Nadal would finish with a better career than Fed. Djokovic is a deferent story though I really don't know how he'll end up. It is a great time in tennis and it helps that Novak has some great one liners

I still don't understand why people say this when Roger only loses to ONE guy.

Does this mean that Rafa isn't great anymore because Novak owns him?

The guy has 16 grand slams and cruised into the semi-finals without breaking a sweat. This was the 31st time in a row that he made the quarters of a Grand Slam event. Of course he still has "it". Nadal is just in his head. I've never seen him shank as many forehands as he does when he plays Rafa.

I will say that Murray impressed the hell out of me in his match against Novak.... he's grown. He could be ready to take that next step up if he builds on that performance.

Whatever you say. He also won a bunch of majors against relatively weak competition.

Is the men's field these days that much stronger than it was back then?

It's only been 3 guys at the top for YEARS... and the winner of these majors usually plays only 1 of the other 2. Not sure that it's the titanic feat you're making it out to be.

Perhaps Roger lacked a player like Rafa in his early years to really push him but he's been every bit as good as he always has been against everyone else (including Novak).

The final will be very interesting....

Kudos to Azarenka for her win.... although I've never seen a former champ just implode the way that Maria did. That was ugly. She was very gracious in her post-match speech though which was a welcome change from Serena's typical garbage.

2 - 2, if Rafa wins this, it will be the most important victory of his career.

I don't know how many people have watched the match yet, but if you haven't it was a really, really fun match to watch. I've grown to really, really like Djokovic as a player.
