HUGE 3rd set win for Fed. just now.... he leads 2 sets to 1 right now.

Novak won the second set 6-1.... but Fed comes right back. Djokovic looks like he's breaking down mentally. Too bad because he's a hell of a player.

I pray this is over in 4 sets because I don't want Fed. to be drained tomorrow against Rafa. *prays*

What an epic 5th set. Nadal must have been delighted watching this from his hotel bath.

Oh, what a fabulous day of tennis! Rafa was a fricken machine, Djokovic-Federer was nail-biting, and major kudos to Clijsters. So happy for her. She is such a class act.

Yalla, vamos Rafa for tomorrow's match!

That was fun. Some amazing tennis today. Djokovic was very deserving, and Fed simply isn't the same player he once was, though still pretty great. There will be a couple of great competitors in action tomorrow.

Because he didn't make the finals?

Fed. was DOMINATING in the US Open up to this match. He just ran into a guy who played some of his best tennis all year.... AND he had a couple of lapses in concentration in the 2nd and 4th sets. He lost to the #3 player in the world.

It happens.

When he starts losing in the 2nd of 3rd round THEN we can talk about him "not being the same player that he once was".

He never had lapses before. Therefore - not the same. His unforced errors are nothing like they once were, which was practically non-existent.

I see a lot of rain in the Giants game, which probably doesn't bode well for getting the final match underway any time soon.

How many unforced errors did he have in his previous matches?

It was ONE match.

If it starts to become a trend THEN I'll be worried.

if you have a DVR where you can advance it 30s at a time, you can actually cut out all of Nadal's long delays between serves.

douchebag american comentators. Saying the game was over in 4 after Djokovic winning the set. Then Nadal breaks him in his first serve.

You want more douchebag American commentators? Calling Mardy Fish one of the greatest tennis players in the world ... based on ... what? Your guess is as good as mine.

My US Open app. said there was a rain delay? Match back on now?

No, please don't tell. I will watch it when I get home, assuming there's no dropping dead from exhaustion.

shit - I went off to friends for dinner just before the rain delay, and missed the end of the second set. The TSN feed got switched to TSN2. I hope that doesn't screw you TAz. I'll reserve my comments for tomorrow so as to not risk spoilers.
