haha, yeah, I wrote that in a stretch of two were he looked really good and with confidence. Too bad. I like Murray so it could be worse.

Murray looked to be in amazing form this morning. I am getting more excited about the finals now ... maybe this is Murray's break through time.

OK. Go Murray!

You're looking like a prophet now Bel.....

Hopefully Nadal can recover in time for the French.

And where is Kris?? Haven't seen her around in AGES.

England. Finishing up the PhD. Planning her wedding. As far as her last email said. Seems good though.

Anyone watch the womens' final last night? No? Neither did I.

Anyone planning on being up for the gents final tonight? Aside from me (yes, inspite of the lack of Rafa)?

Federer was amazing, but this was one of the most boring finals that I have seen. Murray was SO passive ... I preferred to do my charting rather that give the match 100% of my attention.

I re-iterate: Fed is awesome.

I watched it. Henin is still working on her new game.... her 1st serve was pretty brutal. In about a year she'll likely be back on top. I LOVE watching her play. Reminds me of Fed. Everything is so precise and her form is impeccable. Amazing that she gets so much power out of such a little body.

Just finished watching the Men's final on my PVR... Murray still has promise... but he's not there yet. Felt bad for him with the weight of the U.K. on him. He'll get his though. Funny moment in his interview on court afterwards when he got emotional and said "I can cry like Roger..... it's just too bad I can't play like him."

Fed is still the king. Gutty win to pull it out in that 3rd set. #16!!!!

Let me be clear: I love Henin's game. Her backhand is to die for. One-handed thing of beauty. That being said, I think it's ridiculous (maybe not the precise word but it's all I can think of) that a woman can retire from pro tennis for a year or so, then come out of retirement and contend for a Grand Slam title ... Clijsters at the U.S. Open and now Henin at the Aussie? Pretty soon, Hingis will be back and contending for titles. The talent pool on the women's side is so shallow. Good to have both Clijsters and Henin back though ... wonderful players.

Fed was amazing. A. Mazing. Beautiful game from start to finish. I wish Murray had put up more of a fight. Definitely felt for him at the presentation ceremony. Ah, better luck next time.

You said it sister.... we're about 5-10 years removed from the pinnacle of women's tennis I think.

It's absolutely ridiculous that Clijsters and Henin should be able to win slams after BARELY playing in warm-up tourneys at all. Make no mistake they're good... REALLY good.... but that shouldn't happen.

Today's women (except for the Williams sisters) are just so mentally weak. Esp. the russians. They have a world of talent but they just implode under any kind of adversity. Safina, in particular is a joke.

The kicker is that the Williams sisters don't even play that much. They, Serena especially, are so talented and mentally tough that they can get away with playing one or two warm up tournaments before competing (and dominating) at a Grand Slam event. It's insane!

Safina, Ivanovic, Jankovic, Zvonareva, Sharapova ... they are all hopeless (granted Sharapova has been injured but still). I like Caroline Wozniacki and Victoria Azarenka (the latter not as much because of all the dang grunting) but I'm just waiting for the inconsistency to start!!

Just makes me sad to remember the good old days of Graf and Sanchez-Vicario and realise that we don't have those kind of calibre players on tour now.

Yeah... and the thing that sucks is that the few girls who DO have heart (Oudin, Dokic and the other surprise darlings) just don't have the consistency or the game to really challenge the top girls.

You're right about Wozniaki though... she's got potential.

Bel, are you watching the tournament in Indian Wells? Ljubicic Vs. Nadal ... Rafa looks pretty good so far. Up a break in the first set ... 5-3.

I don't know if anyone's going to be watching, but it's the first Rafa-Roger final of 2010 tomorrow morning (Masters tournament in Madrid). Should be good times.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll be spending my morning watching a Spaniard pick his wedge out of his crack.
