Default Tennis: Aussie Open

I'm watching the Aussie Open, our boy Dancevic is playing Blake from the US.

I like Blake, and he will win, but what a douchebag he is.

He stormed the net on a play and Dancevic gave him som eheat up the middle. Blake spazed out and is glaring at him across the net on every single point. Not only that, he has tried to hit Dancevic three times since. Whata pussy, I no longer like him.

I've always thought Blake was a tool.

Federer has Safin in the second round.

I remember watching Serena destroy Sharapova last year in the Aussie. She made her cry.

Anyways, that was the sexiest sporting event I've ever witnessed.

Don't see Murray winning a Slam just yet. Federer is going to get back on track this year. Go R-Fed!

I hope so, but I'm worried about Safin.

He looked good in his first round match.

Safin reminds me a lot of Ivanisavich (sp?).... they can look absolutely dominant when they're on but they also have a tendency to self-destruct when things start to go awry.

Man I love Goran Ivanisevic - he was a wonderful player and had some superb games against Sampras.

He has Korolev (another Russian) in the second round - he has Safin in the third round. I cannot wait for that. It should be an interesting match.

Wow did I butcher his name lol... shame on me... I'm usually better than that.

I still think that the most moving tennis moment I've ever seen was watching Goran win Wimbledon as an unranked invitee.

It was great.

Personally, I'm interested to see if Nadal's adjusted his game to the hardcourt. He plays all out that by the time he reaches the quarter's he's physically in dire straits.

I remember every Croatian everywhere blew up when Ivanisevic won Wimbledon. He was close so, so many times before and beating a retiring Patrick Rafter, it was just due. He was a hell of a player who had a monster serve, but he his wicked temper would always hold him back and when you're playing in the era of greats i.e. Sampras and Agassi, who were both so calm, that lack of composure will always beat you.

Agree. Especially after losing all three times in the Wimbledon final. It reminded me of Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario (my gosh I loved that woman) constantly losing to Steffi Graf way back in the nineties. I remember how she playfully swapped/stole Graf's Wimbledon trophy after she lost in the final in .... 1996 (I think??) - I love that woman!
