A shitload. We'd have to sell a lot of Shandy to cover the costs of the commercial though. It would be like one of those new No Name commercials.

RF can give me $500 bucks, I'll give them 60 30 second spots.

You can post RF ads around Toronto and be controversial, much like those new atheist bus ads.

I'm catholic myself - My view is that if those dudes want to shell out that dough to spread their message, then they're well within their right to do so.

not as bad as hockey and whoever the hell they had at the opening game in detriot, an irrelevant band from the 80s or something..... superbowl used to be better, til Janet showed us her nipple. Now they get a bunch of old rockers to appease the older crowd and not attact any young fans to the game (altho admittedly, they are doing well anyways). I like how the NBA has embraced youth culture the most, making the game much more world wide.

So instead of Tom Petty or Springsteen, you'd prefer someone like say.. Bow Wow? Cause right there, there are no winners, just losers.

how about relevant artists popular amongst the fanbase you are trying to attact, most springteen fans by now are old enough that if they dont like football, they will never like it. Getting ppl like T.I, Rihanna or hell even J.T and Janet back then at least attracts the younger crowd, the ones that could be your future fans for life.

i guess they pay off and its worth the 3 million for companies.

100+ million people watch it in the U.S. alone and its online to see after the game, plus people in the news talk about the ads the next day.

So I think we'll get at least a million

Heck, there are even seats going for 3K in the lowerbowl, which is unheard of.
Most companies bought ads before the economic slowdown. 65 of the 67 commercials are sold.

NBC sells out Super Bowl ads for record $206M. A total of $261 million in ad revenue for all of Super Bowl day also is a record, calling it an especially impressive feat in the middle of the economy's steep downturn.

What recession

10-year scan of Super Bowl top ticket prices. Tickets for the first Super Bowl, at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, were priced at $12, $10 and $6

2009 $1,000 Tampa

1999 $325 Miami

1989 $100 Miami

1979 $30 Miami

1969 $12 Miami

who's gonna win tonight?

Arizona is the NFL version of the Raptors after that interception and 100 yard TD by the steelers.
